LMI is seeking a talented Senior Analyst to join the Strategy & Rates team within our Global Fixed Income (GFI) unit. This role will use technology to enhance investment decision making throughout GFI. The Senior Analyst will support team members, Portfolio Managers, and Traders on a wide variety of special projects ranging from portfolio construction, performance assessment and investment strategy. This role is critical in strengthening our team's expertise and driving our growth in the evolving global financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage cutting-edge technology, programming languages, data visualization tools, and AI/machine learning concepts to improve analytical processes, workflow optimization, and enhance decision-making capabilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as portfolio managers, traders, and risk managers, to provide analytical solutions
  • Collect, analyze, utilize advanced statistical techniques and interpret fixed-income market data to support investment strategy
  • Proactively seek opportunities for upgrading our capabilities and skills, ensuring that the team stays at the forefront of the fixed-income analytics field by embracing the latest industry best practices, technologies, and methodologies
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and technologies related to fixed-income and analytics
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Numerate self-starter with strong attention to detail and a passion for learning. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in portfolio analysis or investment management with a focus in programming, analytics & BI reporting within a fixed income environment preferred
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms and their applications in financial analysis, and the use of GPT models for advanced problem solving
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and their practical application in financial analysis
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, VBA, and SQL
  • Tenacious problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience with Blackrock's Aladdin investment platform, Bloomberg and Macrobond is preferred
  • A keen interest in Investments and desire to dive into the intricacies of Fixed Income.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team and under pressure
