The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

About the Strategic Partnerships Group in U.S. Retail Markets Distribution & Marketing

The Strategic Partnership Group’s (SPG) mission is to deliver incremental profitable growth and unlock key strategic advantages for U.S. Retail Markets (USRM). SPG is core to Liberty’s omni-channel distribution strategy with a dedicated focus on driving high quality personal lines leads to our Direct channel through thousands of affinity relationships and managing strategic third-party Personal Line & Small Commercial appointments. We drive significant premium through our partnerships, and we are constantly innovating to continue to be a critical growth engine for USRM through business development expertise and delivering on strategic priorities. The role

As Director I Relationship Manager in the Strategic Partnerships Group (SPG), you will be responsible for relationship management and account operations in support of an external Agency partner. You are responsible for overall profitability and retention of the account, independently managing a complex partner. You will be responsible for identifying new business growth opportunities and developing tactical efforts to improve profitability and drive growth.

Additionally, you’ll engage with leadership to solve business problems as they arise and partner internally with many cross-functional teams (Underwriting, Product, Analytics, Technology, etc.) to enable new offerings. Your role will be equal parts external key account management, new business development, and agency performance optimization. You will manage the feedback loop with partner leadership and monitor performance trends and identify factors impacting performance.You will work closely with existing geographically dispersed team members to proactively identify opportunities to optimize the partner performance and to troubleshoot any problems through collaborating with internal and partner resources.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on results. Independently manage a complex partner, achieving new business, profit and retention targets.
  • Responsible for relationship management with partner that generates significant volume of USRM Property and Specialty new business. Be dedicated to delivering exceptional levels of customer service the Agency.
  • Maintains senior level partner relationships and can flex, managing all levels of the partner’s hierarchy from Agents to Executive Directors. Inclusive of day-to-day operational needs.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to collaborating across functions and teams (internally and externally). Ability to advocate for the Partner and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve business results and best business outcomes for USRM overall.
  • Ability to promote a team environment consisting of several geographically dispersed employees.
  • Must have analytical skills including interacting with and translating results from Power BI, Excel and other sources into action items to optimize deep technical integration (API) and process improvements.
  • Must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills to proactively resolve issues as quickly as possible. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to do deep dives while staying focused.
  • Must have highly effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to break down complex topics into digestible materials for both partners but also internal senior leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of call centers, agency operations, and P&L management a major plus.
  • Want to become a knowledge expert on the following:
    • Liberty’s Property & Specialty product offerings
    • Liberty internal Sales and Service capabilities and systems
    • Technical capabilities for API integrations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree required
  • Advanced degree such as MBA and/or CPCU certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise advanced negotiation skills and resolve complex business issues with internal and external parties
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing practices and insurance products as demonstrated through the ability to present products and recommend marketing initiatives to clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
