The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

Liberty Mutual US Retail Markets is looking for a Senior Scrum Master and Program Manager to join our Distribution Technology team. In this role, you will lead critical programs to deliver technology solutions that drive profitable growth across our distribution channels. The Senior Scrum Master acts as the delivery lead for the Distribution domain guiding the coordination, synchronization and alignment of a “team of teams” needed to deliver value across major programs. Additionally, the Senior Scrum Master advises domain leadership on overall program management and governance practices to ensure consistent and effective delivery across the team. About the Job:

  • Defines domain level program management governance and practices to ensure consistent and effective delivery of technology solutions
  • Leads major programs within the Distribution domain and with partner domains to deliver solutions that drive profitable growth for US retail markets
  • Partner with domain leadership team to identify risks, issues, and dependencies and work to identify mitigation strategies that mitigate impact to delivery
  • Aggregate domain team objectives and key results to ensure visibility and transparency for the entire team
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams and stakeholders at domain level events to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities
  • Use assessment models and indicators to gauge the health and effectiveness of the team of teams
  • Drive the usage of data and metrics to measure and optimize the effectiveness of both program delivery and engineering excellence
  • Guide continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery and effectiveness
  • Provide coaching and consulting to portfolio team leaders on good practices to accelerate maturity and remove organizational barriers to agility

Qualifications

  • Experience with large scale technology program management and proven track record of delivery excellence
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills
  • Advanced presentation skills and ability to influence through effective communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least eight, typically ten or more years related experience as a project team member, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives
  • Understanding of agile methodology concepts and how to apply program management disciplines to an agile delivery model
