Description
Job Title: Android Solution Architect/Engineer
Role Summary:
USRM ServTech is seeking a skilled Android Solution Architect/Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The Android Solution Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Android applications to meet the needs of our clients and users. As an integral part of our software development team, the Android Solution Engineer will play a key role in designing and building robust and scalable Android solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
2. Develop high-quality, efficient, and scalable Android applications that align with industry best practices and meet user requirements.
3. Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, and stability of Android applications.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs identified in Android applications, providing timely resolutions.
5. Continuously research, evaluate, and implement new technologies, tools, and frameworks to optimize Android application development.
6. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure optimal user experience and seamless integration of design elements into Android applications.
7. Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
8. Maintain comprehensive documentation for Android applications, including architecture, design, and functionality specifications.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Android development, and share knowledge and expertise with the team.
10. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge sharing activities to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an Android Developer or Android Solution Engineer, with a strong portfolio of Android applications.
3. Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
4. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
5. Experience working with GraphQl APIs and third-party libraries, as well as integrating external services and APIs into Android applications.
6. Solid knowledge of mobile UI/UX standards, including responsive design and material design guidelines.
7. Experience with Android Jetpack Compose
8. Experience in integration with GraphQL services using Apollo Kotlin
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
11. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
12. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
As an Android

Qualifications
Experience
- Ten years of related software engineering experience
- A comprehensive understanding of agile environments
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies
- A history of practicing DevOps and SecOps
- A strong background in business operations and strategies, including knowledge of global business, technology trends and the financial services industry
Skills
- Solid negotiation, facilitation, consensus building and influencing capabilities
- Ability to identify patterns and problems across teams and deliver effective solutions
- Openness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstances
- A design thinking and test-driven development mindset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and an aptitude for working in teams
- Knowledge
- Experience developing or architecting cloud-hosted, responsive web applications using Java, HTML5 and CSSS3
- Strong background in code review
- High-level proficiency with client-side JavaScript frameworks, server-side frameworks, and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with event-based System of Engagement architectures and integration with API exposing microservices
- Deep understanding of layered solutions and designs
- Cognizance of security concerns, from access control and authentication to secured SDLC processes
- Understanding of DCI/MDM systems, data ingestion and cloud-scale data sets
Education
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
