As part of Global Underwriting Operations & Solutions you will be part of a team that provides support and design for key underwriting core services. These services include operational data management, document management capabilities and Event/API Management.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll consult on highly complex projects and solve technical problems to realize business value for Underwriting and Product end users. You will have the opportunity to deliver software capabilities and solutions via the latest cloud and AI technologies in an innovative, agile, team empowered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Three years of software engineering experience.
• Experience working in an agile environment utilizing Scrum, Kanban or XP.
• Strong proficiency with technologies such as AWS, AWS-CDK, Java, JavaScript (NodeJS, React), Microservices, GIT, REST API, Open API Specs.
• An ability to code in multiple languages, including an object-oriented language, preferably Java/J2EE.
• Strong oral and written communication skills—and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers.
• A collaborative, adaptable working style, demonstrated initiative and the ability to prioritize your time and efforts.
• A thorough grasp of technology concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
