This role sits at the intersection of underwriting and finance. As a Senior Treaty Analyst in Risk Financing Solutions, the focus is on administering and analyzing reinsurance treaties to ensure they’re structured, executed, and managed in a way that protects the business and optimizes risk transfer. The role partners closely with treaty managers, finance leaders, and external reinsurers, using strong analytical skills, business insight, and data tools to support sound decision-making, manage change, and continuously improve how we manage risk.
The Senior Treaty Analyst plays a vital role within the Risk Finance department, providing essential support in the administration, analysis, and management of reinsurance treaties. This position is designed for professionals with strong analytical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to develop expertise in the dynamic field of reinsurance.
Reporting to the Directors of Risk Financing and supporting the Principal and Senior Treaty Managers, the Senior Treaty Analyst works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the smooth execution of treaty arrangements and the prudent management of risk. This position offers a global scope as well.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 5+ years of relevant experience to include business analysis work.
- Reinsurance experience preferred.
- Displays strong research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, influencing, relationship management, and presentation skills.
- Strong business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions.
- Solid ability to support change and impart value within an organization.
- Solid project management skills as part of implementing business process changes.
- Strong knowledge of available data sources, strengths and shortcomings.
- May also be relevant based on the particular needs of the position
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and solid knowledge of database software.
- Solid knowledge of business intelligence tools preferred.
