You will partner with Segment Chief Data Officers and business leaders across Underwriting, Claims, Distribution, Finance, Operations, Risk to shape priorities and embed insights into operating routines and work closely with Data Platform & Engineering, Advanced Analytics & AI Enablement, Data Strategy/Governance, and Domain Support & Data Operations to ensure reporting and insights are scalable, governed, and sustainable. You serve as the steward for driving adoption of enterprise standard BI / MI tools and solutions across GRS.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Drives adoption of MDM and influences organization to maximize utilization while supporting conformance to enterprise MDM standards for onboarding of new applications
  • Sets direction for Master Data Management (MDM) across build/deploy and adoption to improve consistency across customer/broker/policy/claim and related entities
  • Serves as a change agent to promote benefits of implementing and adopting MDM
  • Owns the Business Insights roadmap aligned to enterprise outcomes while maintaining enterprise reporting standards and frameworks

Execution

  • Leads delivery and continuous improvement of:
    • BI Reporting (cross-GRS): governed dashboards and self-service reporting with consistent metrics
    • MI Reporting (cross-GRS): recurring executive/management packs and performance routines
    • Insights Generation (cross-GRS): diagnostic deep-dives, performance driver analysis, and decision support
  • Ensures reporting is accurate, explainable, and trusted through strong controls, reconciliation, and lineage to governed definitions
  • Leads efforts to rationalize and optimize existing reporting footprint, while championing efforts to infuse innovation (e.g., GenBI) into reporting capabilities
  • Partner with application teams to execute MDM roadmap: domain prioritization, release sequencing, adoption plans, and measurement of data quality and business impact

Talent Management

  • Builds and leads a team spanning BI product leadership, reporting engineering, insight analytics, visualization/storytelling, and enablement
  • Establishes scalable ways of working (playbooks, reusable assets, training etc.) to raise insight adoption and data literacy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Generally a minimum of 15 years related experience in business insights, performance management, BI/analytics leadership, or data product leadership with 5 years in people leadership role desirable.
  • Deep experience with enterprise BI/MI operating models, KPI frameworks, and executive performance management.
  • Highly proficient in master data management (MDM) concepts and operating models along with practical expertise in MDM programs (domain strategy, stewardship, adoption, and measurable quality improvements).
  • Strong fluency in modern data/BI concepts that drive trust and scalability (semantic/metrics layers, dimensional thinking, governance).
  • Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional initiatives in global, matrixed environments.
  • Strong prioritization and stakeholder management—balances “run” reporting needs with “change” capability building.
  • Executive presence; able to influence senior leaders and drive adoption of standards and ways of working.
  • Commercial & specialty insurance experience strongly preferred.
