Description

We’re seeking a mission driven and strategic leader to serve as Senior Director, Data Science Infrastructure. This high impact role sits at the center of our data science efforts, overseeing Modeling Data Solutions, Pricing and Non-Pricing Deployments, and Tools teams to enable scalable use of data science and AI across USRM. As a senior member of our data science community, you’ll inform the strategy for data science tools and deployment platforms and partner closely with data science teams to operationalize models that deliver significant business impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of 100+ data scientists and data, product, and deployment professionals responsible for modeling data, pricing/nonpricing deployments, and data science tools.
  • Own product and technical strategy for model lifecycle management and analytics tooling that supports deployment of predictive models across the SBU.
  • Define standards and best practices for data development and model deployment; drive adoption across product lines and business units.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners, risk, and compliance to translate strategic priorities into data and tooling solutions that improve decision making and manage model risk.
  • Drive cross‑functional initiatives and large projects that deliver measurable business value and support enterprise objectives.
  • Mentor senior technical talent and contribute to broader talent strategy for the data science community.
  • Establish policies and processes to ensure high quality, secure, and scalable use of models and analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models
  • Proven ability to lead and drive projects to completion through others, to include prior experience effectively managing talent
  • Exchanges ideas and conveys complex information clearly and concisely, verbally, visually, and in writing, consistent with stakeholders with up to and including SBU/Corp Dept leadership and enterprise wide
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and build effective relationships within and outside the organization and company
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate areas of senior management concern, integrate different perspectives, and respond accordingly
  • Competencies typically acquired through an advanced degree or Actuarial designation and 10+ years of relevant experience or may be acquired through a Bachelor`s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
