Description
The Director I, Specialty Product plays a critical role in shaping the future of our Specialty portfolio. This is a high-impact and exposure position responsible for defining strategic direction, influencing leadership decisions, and accelerating profitable growth across the Specialty portfolio. As a strategic thought partner to Specialty Product leadership, you will translate complex product dynamics into clear, actionable strategies and drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders. This is an individual contributor role with broad influence and executive visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape Portfolio Strategy: Develop and champion strategies that optimize returns and drive sustainable, profitable growth across the Specialty portfolio.
- Influence Specialty Decisions: Partner with Specialty Product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to inform key strategic decisions with data-driven insights and clear business narratives.
- Connect the Dots Across the Portfolio: Apply an enterprise lens to evaluate trade-offs, risks, and opportunities, ensuring Specialty initiatives align with broader USRM priorities.
- Drive Strategic Clarity: Create compelling frameworks and executive-ready materials that simplify complex product dynamics and enable confident decision-making.
- Lead High-Impact Deliverables: Own the development and presentation of strategic recommendations for senior leadership, including portfolio reviews and growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field
- Minimum 7, typically 10 years or more of relevant work experience
- Master's degree and/or ACAS or similar designation beneficial
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (eg, SAS, Access)
- Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
- Experience managing projects preferred
