Description
Team: US Retail Markets (USRM) – USRM Transformation
Program: Frontier (PCUIP)
Job Location: The role is located in Boston, MA or Portsmouth, NH; working in a hybrid model (weekly blend of 3-4 days in-office and 1-2 days working from home)
Context:
USRM is embarking on Frontier, a multi-year transformation to simplify and modernize our business and technology. We will radically simplify and accelerate how we go to market by converging our personal lines (PL) products (Auto, Property and Specialty) across channels (e.g., Direct, IA, SPG) onto a new core policy administration platform, known as the Unified Insurance Platform (UIP).
This transformation will be complex, challenging, and exciting, requiring all functions in USRM to come together to set USRM up to win in the future! It is a once in a career opportunity to have an outsized impact on the future of our business. Given the nature of the transformation, we require top notch talent with the skills, experience, and resilience to drive this work forward.
Transformation Team:
The Transformation team is accountable for driving work to achieve our north-star vision of both business and tech simplification. The team is accountable for:
- Driving Transformational Change: responsible for the success and momentum of a body of work within the larger transformation program
- Defining Program Vision: Articulating outcomes, scope, timelines and milestones in a manner that allows prioritization across competing forces
- Driving Decision-making: Identifying key decisions and intentionally partnering with and influencing leaders at all levels to make clear decisions at the right pace
- Ability to navigate breadth and depth: Identify when is appropriate to go into details (i.e.: tasks deviating from plan) while staying grounded on the big picture implications for the program
- Creating Clarity: Developing program management and communication tools that foster shared understanding, maintain momentum, and ensure transparency
The Role: Sr Analyst/Consultant
We’re in search of high-performing, intellectually curious, team-oriented individuals to join the Transformation team as a Sr Analyst/Consultant, aligned to support the business and technology simplification efforts, primarily focused on the Product Convergence onto UIP, where we will launch converged insurance products onto a new, modern tech platform over the next 5+ years.
This highly visible role combines strategic program analysis with hands-on analytical execution: assisting with KPI definition and measurement, building and maintaining dashboards and scorecards, performing quantitative analysis and modeling, and translating findings into concise, persuasive presentations for senior leadership.
The core responsibilities of the role will include:
- Develop key relationships with working teams across the organization to track delivery, ensure accountability, influence and drive transformative change, and challenge the status quo.
- Support the success of the program by understanding strategic priorities and the role of the TMO office in evaluating and advancing those priorities.
- Using judgment to move the program forward by identifying and obtaining data from internal and external sources (interviews, surveys, systems, owners) and cultivating relationships with data owners to expand access. Perform quantitative analyses to determine impact, forecast outcomes, and evaluate trade-offs.
- Ensure analysis is complete, reproducible, and error-free. Apply judgment in selecting appropriate analysis techniques, tools, and visualizations to communicate complex topics simply and effectively.
- Crafting compelling storylines that clearly articulate findings, insights, and recommendations. This will include creating and refining presentations, briefings, and one-pagers that clearly communicate priorities, insights, risks, and recommended actions.
- Contribute to the broader goals of the TMO office in areas such as culture building and stakeholder alignment.
Skillsets:
- Strategic Analytical Skills - Capacity to analyze complex business questions, create structured frameworks for addressing them, and influence cross-functional teams towards alignment on recommendations and decisions / action items.
- Ability to Navigate Breadth & Depth: Identify when it’s appropriate to go into details (e.g., tasks deviating from plan) while staying grounded on the big picture implications for the program (e.g., major milestones or dependencies)
- Autonomous and Agile Work Style: Comfort working independently in dynamic, fast-paced environments, adapting swiftly to changing circumstances.
- Challenger mindset – Demonstrated comfort asking questions, challenging assumptions, and offering alternative perspectives to push teams towards the optimal answer for the organization
- Agency – Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead complex strategic initiatives, demonstrating self-confidence and resilience navigating challenges and driving results.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach – Ability to work well with others and an approach that takes into consideration what is best for the team and the program as a whole
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, ideally from a top-tier university
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, such as client-facing role within a top-tier strategy consulting firm, banking, investments / desk research, financial services, corporate strategy, or similar
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and written and oral communication skills
- Ability to leverage analysis to gain support and influence others
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, including project work and department responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and as member of a team
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel including comfort working with large, highly linked models. Ability to build and troubleshoot moderate-complexity formulas using standard functions (e.g., SUMIFS, INDEX(MATCH), nested IF/AND). Working knowledge of pivot tables is required
Employees may apply for a new role after completing 12 months of employment in their current position
