Description
We are hiring two Director II-level Domain Owners in the USRM Data Office to lead product ownership and data stewardship for critical enterprise data domains. Each Director will own the product strategy and roadmap for a specific domain, translate business priorities into high‑value data products, and ensure trusted, well‑governed data assets to enable enterprise decision-making.

- PL Product & Underwriting Data
- Finance & Shared Product Data
The Director will lead modernization of the domain’s data capabilities, strengthening core data foundations and enabling a more automated, AI-ready environment. This leader serves as the primary stakeholder for the domain, partnering closely with business leaders and Data Engineering to deliver scalable, sustainable data solutions. Success in this role requires strong executive presence and the ability to influence across business and technology leadership.

Responsibilities:
1. Domain Product Strategy & Value Realization
- Define and lead the domain vision, roadmap, and modernization strategy
- Translate business priorities into high-value data product initiatives
- Prioritize investments that strengthen core data foundations and enable automation and AI-driven use cases
- Serve as the senior business and technology stakeholder for the domain
- Communicate roadmap progress, trade-offs, risks, and realized value
2. Product Ownership & Delivery Partnership
- Lead product owners and analysts in managing value-driven backlogs
- Partner with Data Engineering to align on sequencing, capacity, and architectural direction
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and are scalable, maintainable, and supportable
- Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform sustainability
3. Data Stewardship & Governance Leadership
- Establish and enforce domain data ownership and stewardship practices
- Drive standards for data quality, metadata, lineage, and lifecycle management
- Ensure domain data assets are trusted and ready for advanced analytics and AI solutions
- Manage upstream and downstream impacts of domain data assets and resolve cross-domain dependencies
- Ensure alignment with enterprise risk, compliance, and architecture standards
4. Organizational Leadership & Enterprise Influence
- Lead and develop a team of product owners, data stewards, and solution analysts
- Advance product management and data governance maturity within the domain
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Influence enterprise stakeholders to align priorities and drive measurable business outcomes
Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Experience in communicating recommendations to senior business leaders preferred. BA/BS, or relevant work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- MBA or advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative discipline strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience working in coding and data solutions design principles, particularly in open source tools and technology, negotiating horizontally and vertically, with a track record of delivering products from ideation to launch.
