Description
Overall responsibility for work executed by a third party vendor and ownership of the strategic relationship with the vendor and business partners. Develops, implements, and manages third party vendor`s standards and procedures. Defines, analyzes and assesses key performance metrics to ensure vendors meet the business needs and to set supply management strategies that drive increased value for internal clients in terms of reduced costs, improved quality, service, technology and processes. Collaborates with Corporate Legal and Information Technology to ensure vendors are compliant with Liberty Mutual standards. Creates and maintains strong partnerships with key suppliers.
Responsibilities
Develops and implements strategic standards and procedures for vendor partners within an aligned business unit and/or corporate department. Partners with Corporate Procurement to identify key performance metrics that measure the vendor`s success Performs research or directs research through others to identify trends and recommends improvements to processes and procedures Responsible for oversight and spend management of the vendor budget and ensuring that service level agreements are met within financial parameters Makes recommendations to senior leadership for plans to reduce cost by improving process efficiencies Manages a team of managers and/or individual contributors who support vendor operations Presents analyses, recommendations and results to senior management and vendor executive partners Develops and implements strategic standards and procedures to ensure vendor relationship effectiveness Defines individual performance objectives and development plans to ensure alignment with project and unit objectives. Evaluates team and individual performance and makes final hiring and compensation recommendations
