Job Introduction:
The EDATA (Enterprise Data & Analytics Technology) group is looking to hire Solutions Infrastructure Engineer. Provides engineering leadership and oversight on design, engineering and development of information technology solutions. Responsible for the most complex, multi-site, multi-domain activities and integration. Reviews and provides input to architectural designs to ensure consistency, maintainability and flexibility. Analyzes highly complex system and technical issues to implement features and enhancements in an iterative way that align with strategic technical direction. Plans and leads execution of architecture migrations. Provides leadership in reviewing the speed of the team, presenting continuous improvement opportunities for improved product/team performance.
About the job:
- Acts as the lead solution engineer or technical lead responsible for the implementation of approved technologies that align with technical architecture, customer`s business plans and long-term strategy.
- Manages the troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure compatibility issues based on systems architecture, project requirements and customer expectations.
- Participates during incident management events and provides consultative recommendations on viable resolutions.
- Makes recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contributes to decisions that impact profitability and operational effectiveness. Mentors staff to develop infrastructure development capabilities.
- Leads implementation and integration of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Data Management capabilities (e.g., data integration, data replication, API/data access patterns) within enterprise cloud architectures.
- Designs and develops Service Provider Interfaces (SPIs) and related extensibility patterns to enable pluggable implementations, standardized integration points, customer self-service, and long-term platform evolution.
- Collaborate on the creation and refinement of reference architectures, reusable patterns, and decision records.
- Create and maintain clear, actionable technical roadmaps, assess vendor impacts, and ensure roadmap cohesion.
- Create, promote, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and reusable patterns across skill domain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience; technical Master`s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years Software Instructure experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with AWS core services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, AMI and IAM.
- Experience with tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Github, Packer for provisioning infrastructure and IaC.
- Extensive knowledge in infrastructure, cloud-based platforms, and development tools.
- Proven experience in managing complex technical projects with a keen eye for detail and strategic direction.
- A commitment to mentorship and helping others grow in their technical abilities.
- Knowledgeable in software engineering languages and tools; proficient in new and emerging technologies.
- Highly developed negotiation, consensus building & influencing skills, facilitation and the adaptability to respond to change quickly.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and principles.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Data Management technologies (implementation, integration, operations, and troubleshooting in cloud environments).
- Proven experience designing and developing SPIs (Service Provider Interfaces) and extensibility frameworks (e.g., plug-in architectures, provider abstractions, contract-first interfaces), with an emphasis on maintainability, versioning, and backward compatibility.
