Description
The Medical, Special Investigation, and Programs (MSP) Analytics department within USRM U.S. Insights & Solutions is actively searching for a highly motivated analyst to join the team with a focus on Claims. This position will support the MSP line of business. The ideal candidate possesses advanced analytical abilities and will be able to work collaboratively & independently.
In addition to the responsibilities below, this person will:
- Support the MSP Claims organization and provide thought leadership in recommendations and decision making with the aligned Senior Director of Claims Analytics
- With limited guidance perform analysis that tells a compelling/structured story and produces logical conclusions, actionable insights, outcome valuations, risk assessments, strategic impact and positively impacts business results.
- Proactively make recommendations and suggestions to optimize portfolio of existing processes and reports, including identifying and remedying non value add activities and driving transparency across appropriate stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Conducts medium complexity analysis for MSP organization.
- Ideal candidate would have prior knowledge of medical billing data and/or Claims fraud data.
- Manages low to moderately complex projects, while providing technical and analytical assessments of issues facing the business.
- Utilizes more advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems.
- May regularly utilize, update and adapt predictive modeling tools and/or focus on the application of the tools.
- May develop analytic tools used by others to do their jobs more effectively and guide decision-making.
- Answers complex questions by synthesizing data from diverse sources.
- Manages one or more research projects.
- Presents findings / recommendations which impact profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction.
- May participate in discussions with senior leadership at the department or functional level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics or other quantitative field.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years relevant work experience required.
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
- Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
