Advance your career at Liberty Mutual Insurance- A Fortune 100 Company.

About the Business: Global Risk Solutions (GRS):

Global Risk Solutions (GRS), the commercial insurance arm of Liberty Mutual, focuses on protecting the world's enterprises — helping companies navigate the risks that come with operating at scale, across industries, and around the globe, giving them the confidence to operate boldly. At the core of our business are our Underwriters — the experts responsible for evaluating risk and determining the right coverage for the businesses we serve. We are seeking a Principal Experience Designer to lead the vision and design delivery for the internal experiences that Underwriters and their cross-functional colleagues rely on every day to do their best work.

As a Senior member of our GRS Experience Design Domain, the Principal Experience Designer will collaborate closely with product teams across Underwriting to drive innovation and elevate our product offerings to best-in-class experiences. • Operate as a thought partner to our product leaders and stakeholders representing the voice of our users at every step, and sharing strategic plans early and often, seeking constructive feedback and integrating feedback to improve solutions
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Experience Research, and Experience Design to drive strategic discovery and work with product and engineering leaders, advocating for UX best practices across the product delivery lifecycle
  • Lead and contribute hands-on to design efforts across our most complex cross-functional investments
  • Champion our design system as the foundation for consistency, ensuring every experience feels cohesive to users no matter where across the business it was built
  • Provide creative direction and conduct design reviews to ensure that the overall vision for products is achieved
  • Offer leadership within the design team, introducing new practices and influencing team members to try new methods; continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency across the broader design organization
  • Mentor more junior members of the experience design staff, employing your design expertise in your craft to further the skillset of our team
