- Lead and manage analytics-focused projects and cross-functional workstreams end-to-end: scope, plan, track milestones, mitigate risks, and communicate status and decisions to stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, promoting best practices, clear documentation, reproducible workflows, and effective handoffs to technical teams.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in data engineering, evaluate new tools and recommend approaches that improve data trust and stakeholder value.
- Identify practical opportunities to apply Gen AI for data discovery, automated documentation, query generation, and developer productivity while ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective adoption.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python; familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS (and Spark/PySpark) is a plus.
- Demonstrate 5+ years of experience in data analysis, product/business analytics, or data engineering.
- Possess proven experience managing analytics or data projects and coordinating cross-functional workstreams, with demonstrated ability to deliver on time and communicate progress to varied audiences.
- Have practical experience collaborating in Agile teams and applying Agile best practices (sprint planning, refinement, retrospective).
- Be experienced with data quality practices, monitoring, and validation approaches to ensure reliable inputs for analytics and decision-making.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Domain experience in Auto, Property, Small Commercial or other insurance product areas.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional analytics projects, including stakeholder management, project scoping, and delivering business outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Master`s in same or related disciplines strongly preferred.
- 5-7 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in Python, SQL, ETL, Spark, Snowflake.
