About the team:

You’ll join an 80+ person Experience Design organization consisting of kind and talented product designers, content designers, and UX developers.

* With the significant USRM focus on new business growth this year, experience working within the Distribution Domain and/or Insurance Professional Quoting space is a plus *

As a Lead, you will support a team of Experience Designers in delivering user-centered design solutions to create best-in-class digital tools for power users aimed at increasing agent efficiency, improving satisfaction, and reducing expenses and technology costs. You'll experience a high degree of autonomy as you set the team’s standards of communication, quality, and process.

You will work with business, engineering, and product owner partners to understand the business vision and objectives and collaborate daily to deliver design solutions that meet both user needs and business goals. You’ll also benefit from the support of our broader UX community, where you can exchange ideas and learn from other design, content, and research practitioners.

In this role you will:

  • Leverage strong executive skills to navigate stakeholder needs and relationships, continually increasing trust and partnership.
  • Set the standard for proactive collaboration, effective communication and feedback, and quality design practice for the rest of the team.
  • Elevate the team’s design craft, use of best practices, and application of user-centric thinking to make design decisions.
  • Drive quality and consistency of design deliverables across the team and ensure all design efforts contribute to a cohesive user experience across ecosystem.
  • Work in an agile environment. You will partner closely with product owners, product designers, and engineers, as well as content designers, marketers, analysts, and researchers.
  • Dig deep into user problems. You’ll be tasked with understanding complex product requirements and untangling interaction design problems to find the best solutions to help users complete their tasks.
  • Continuously seek and integrate user feedback. You will help identify user research needs and participate in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing to evaluate design effectiveness and determine where and how to optimize the experience.
  • Coordinate across multiple projects and workstreams. You’ll learn a complex product ecosystem and collaborate with other teams to ensure a seamless experience for the user.
