The Manager, Financial Analysis is responsible for leading the enterprise financial scorecard process and ensuring alignment between actuarial results and financial reporting. Identifies emerging accounting issues and develops processes to address them. This role serves as a key Finance partner for accounting‑focused analysis, external audit support (E&Y), and executive reporting, ensuring financial metrics are accurate, explainable, consistent, and audit‑ready. The position plays a critical role in quarter‑close actuarial scorecard execution, reserve and performance attribution, and the interpretation of financial results for senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end actuarial and financial scorecard process ensuring timely, accurate production aligned with quarter-close and financial reporting timelines
  • Navigate and reconcile multiple ledgers and accounting views to consolidate inputs and produce an accurate, enterprise-level scorecard
  • Coordinate with Actuarial, Finance and Controllership teams to ensure scorecard results are fully aligned with booked financial results and underlying actuarial analyses.
  • Own the preparation, review, and validation of scorecard outputs, with accountability for accuracy, consistency, and explainability of reported results
  • Develop clear, accounting-focused explanations for scorecard results suitable for executive reporting, external audit (E&Y), and senior management review.
  • Identify emerging accounting issues impacting scorecard results and develop or enhance processes to address them in a timely and controlled manner.
  • Continuously improve the scorecard process through process standardization, automation, and simplification, while maintaining accounting discipline and control awareness.
  • Support the Statutory Actuarial Opinion (SAO) process by providing analytical support, data validation, and Schedule P tie-outs to ensure completeness and accuracy of reported development.
  • Serves as a liaison to Actuarial teams on accounting, finance, and data-related matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) required. CPA or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of finance experience.
  • Must demonstrate ability to execute thoroughly in a fast-paced work environment, adapting quickly to changing conditions to achieve results.
  • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration and communicates effectively to a wide variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and making presentations to increasingly large audiences.
  • Advanced understanding of Finance Tools and Analytical Methods.
