Liberty Mutual’s Investor Relations & Market Insights team, part of the broader Capital Management organization, helps shape how the company communicates its financial strength, strategy, and market positioning to credit investors and other internal and external stakeholders. The team also supports senior leadership by translating peer performance, industry trends, market themes, and capital strategy developments into actionable insights.
This role sits at the intersection of investor relations, market insights, and capital strategy. It supports the earnings process, peer benchmarking, executive materials, disclosure evolution, selected M&A-related work, and the build-out of AI tools that strengthen market intelligence. The role offers high visibility to senior leadership, exposure to enterprise-level decision-making, and a broad view of the LMG business portfolio.
We are seeking someone with strong analytical ability, executive communication skills, comfort with high-visibility presentations, strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity across artificial intelligence, markets, competitors, and the ability to form a clear point of view rather than simply report on findings.
Responsibilities:
- Help lead the earnings preparation process, including planning, content development, review cycles, logistics, and executive preparation
- Develop earnings-related materials, including talking points, scripts, Q&A, and other executive support materials
- Lead peer benchmarking, competitor analysis, and broader market insight work for Finance leadership and ELT discussions
- Lead building the team’s AI capabilities through practical tools and use cases, including assistants, dashboards, and other tools that improve benchmarking and insight generation
- Support executive-facing materials and updates for Finance leadership and ELT discussions
- Support capital strategy activities, including debt issuances, investor events, and broader external marketing efforts
- Provide market and competitor intelligence to support M&A-related analysis and broader strategic evaluation
- Analyze public disclosures, industry research, and other market materials to identify implications for Liberty, including external financial disclosures
- Build strong relationships across Finance and Capital Management to support collaboration and high-quality execution
- Depending on level, independently lead workstreams and help mentor or manage less experienced team members, including FMPs
Hiring Manger = John Gratton, Sr Manager, Financial Analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
- Grade 15: Minimum 5 years of finance experience
- Grade 17: Minimum 7 years of finance experience
- Relevant experience in investor relations, corporate finance, FP&A, strategy, capital management, market intelligence, consulting, or similar analytical roles preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn external information into clear implications and takeaways
- Experience using AI tools in a practical business setting
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently
- Intellectual curiosity about insurance markets, competitors, capital themes, and external trends, with the ability to form and communicate a clear point of view
This role may be filled at either the Grade 15 (Lead) or Grade 17 (Manager) level depending on the candidate’s experience and demonstrated capabilities.
- Grade 15 Lead Financial Analysis: role will focus more on execution, analysis, and support for recurring processes.
- Grade 17 Manager: role will require greater independence, ownership of recurring workstreams, and the ability to shape executive-level narratives and lead complex deliverables with limited oversight.
Employees may apply for a new role after completing 12 months of employment in their current position.
