Description
Global Legal & Compliance (GL&C) is looking for a data governance professional as we continue building our data capabilities for enterprise-wide AI-driven insights. You will provide governance, quality, integrity, and timeliness of operational and analytics data for the department by establishing and enforcing enterprise data policies, standards, practices, and processes in alignment with the Enterprise Data Office. Monitor the use of data to ensure careful control and effective use to achieve our enterprise data objectives. Serve as one of the department's lead Data Stewards, championing data ownership, accountability, and compliance across the department's data assets. Under limited direction, work within significant limits and authority on assignments of higher technical complexity and coordination. Provide guidance and assistance to lower-level associates and other functional areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in automating and strengthening data management controls by building robust systems with an eye on long-term maintenance and support of applications, leveraging Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) as a primary platform for data integration and governance workflows.
- With an advanced understanding of the principles of data quality management — including metadata, lineage, and business definitions — implement data governance procedures and policies using IDMC's metadata management and data cataloging features.
- Build and implement tools to monitor data quality while ensuring high-quality data solutions, including development and management of data pipelines and transformations within Snowflake and Microsoft Azure.
- Perform routine data investigations to profile and analyze datasets to address data quality and integrity, utilizing IDMC's data profiling and quality capabilities.
- Develop and define data validation, verification, and reconciliation strategies to support data governance, stewardship, and security.
- Help drive cross-team design and development of sustainable, data-driven solutions that meet the needs of business customers through technical leadership and mentoring.
- Serve as the Legal Department Facilitator for the Electronic Records Management (ERM) program, coordinating compliance, retention schedules, and records disposition activities in alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Influence decision makers on the outcome of initiatives based on perceived value, communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Demonstrated understanding of the use of data to solve business use cases to deliver actionable insights.
- 3–5 years of coding experience in data management, data warehousing, or unstructured data environments
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Snowflake, and Microsoft Azure data services
- Experience with Electronic Records Management (ERM) programs or legal/compliance data coordination a plus
