Description

What you’ll do
- Profile and assess new data (structure, completeness, quality, lineage, and fit for use) and recommend how it should be curated for consumption.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements for curated views/data products that are built by IT data squads; define success criteria and support validation.
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation (data definitions, usage guidance, lineage/assumptions, known limitations) to enable scalable self-service.
- Partner with end users to onboard and adopt new data products; gather feedback and continuously improve usability and clarity.
- Design and build AI assistants that help analysts and business users answer questions using our Claims data marts (e.g., guided Q&A, semantic retrieval, prompt patterns, evaluation/guardrails).
- Prototype and iterate on solutions by developing proof-of-concepts, testing/validating approaches with users and stakeholders, and partnering with IT squads to scale successful prototypes into robust, supported data products.
- Lead and contribute in cross-functional working groups, driving alignment across stakeholders and presenting progress, recommendations, and outcomes to different audiences and leadership levels.
What you’ll bring
- Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with data profiling/analysis (identifying quality issues, anomalies, and transformation requirements).
- Hands-on experience with GenAI tooling and applying it to analytics/data workflows (e.g., building assistants/copilots, RAG concepts, prompt design, evaluation/guardrails).
- Proven ability to self-manage, operate independently, and drive outcomes in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentations and the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience partnering across business stakeholders, engineering teams, and governance/compliance functions.
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake (including Snowflake AI capabilities), AWS data ecosystems, or modern analytics stacks
- Python for analysis/prototyping
- Prior exposure to Guidewire products
- Experience in P&C insurance claims data and processes
