Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the Rolling Forecast model. This tool is vital to the team’s success, from continuously updating the in-force portfolio premium, to producing KPIs, to the initiation of planning. Will work directly and constantly with Product Managers, while staying in tune with the LMRe Global Underwriting community and performance. The tool supports Forecast deliverables to GRS and Corporate.
- Co-manage US Reinsurance legal entity affiliate portfolio; a book of +$1B of annual premium. Work with LMIE and Liberty Syndicate teams regularly to ensure timeliness and accuracy of results. Potentially contribute to Third Party Capital demands. Gain understanding of products written by the different LMRe entities and how rick appetites may differ.
- Work directly with the Controller on Expense reporting, analytics and budgeting. Own most of Expense related responsibilities, while interacting with Expense personnel of various teams in various countries.
- Perform functions necessary to submit monthly financial results for the team’s entity and classes. Utilize understanding of multiple systems and platforms (SAP, BI, BPC, URS, GEAC, Essbase, ARMMS, ARCS, GQL, PwrBI dashboards) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Manage the Quarterly Schedule P process. Gain exposure to actuarial teams and concepts. Directly impact the quality of LMIC results by utilizing various analytics applied across multiple measurements.
- Contribute to the strong Controls environment of the team, including participation in Attestation and audits. Lead discussions and reviews.
- High involvement in OneGL, including ensuring the LMRe US’s unique perspective is understood by decision makers regarding design and strategy, as well as testing and other such tasks. Represent the needs of the only US Assumed RI team that is uniquely also part of the LII OneGL path.
This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate will come into the Boston, MA office two times/week.
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) required.
- CPA or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of finance experience.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results.
- Communicates well with own team and across organizational boundaries to ensure the successful completion of shared goals.
- Comfortable leading meetings and able to communicate issues and trends to senior management and other groups at the appropriate level of detail.
- Solid understanding of Finance Tools and Analytical Methods.
