Hiring Manager: Ashwin Narayan
The Solaria Engineering team works in close partnership with Solaria Labs, Liberty Mutual’s global incubation lab, where we deliver innovative solutions to leading problems in the insurance industry. We are seeking a motivated Senior Software Engineer to support join our talented agile teams. In this role, you will join the development team for our digital direct Certainly insurance experimentation platform, focused on our Certainly Personal Lines products.

Our engineers are involved in product development from concept to launch. How we work together:
- You want to be part of a collaborative innovation lab: experience both heads down coding time as well as active participation in consumer research, ideation, and product design.
- You will explore emerging technologies including Generative AI, and Agentic AI.
- You are passionate about building and iterating on software prototypes and are excited to own them while exploring potential graduation to wider business adoption and scale.
- You may also enjoy building custom algorithms, digging into data for insights, building engaging interfaces and always looking to sharpen your skills with emerging technology or participating in hackathons and meetups.
Qualifications
You’re good at and offer:
- Knowledge of a variety of programming languages to solve a variety of problems from web applications to low-level algorithm development. Skills targeted for this posting include experience with one or more of the following areas:
- Client-side JavaScript web development with modern UI frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Server-side service development with modern platforms such as Node.js, with a focus on microservice patterns and best practices.
- LLM and AI augmented development, DevOps and automation experience including CI/CD patterns, automation frameworks, and technologies including AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions or similar tools.
- Bachelor’s degree with generally 5+ years of experience in building and iterating on software prototypes under tight deadlines.
- Experience both heads down coding time as well as active participation in product design, demonstration, testing and support. Our engineers are involved in product development from concept to launch.
- Exposure to data science and AI/ML technologies, MLOps practices and/or experience collaborating with data science teams.
