Job Summary

The cross-LOB leader within the USRM C&S Insights and Solutions organization is responsible for identifying cross-LOB needs and driving strategy and solutions across Claims & Service. This role owns cross-LOB strategy execution, process excellence, analytical insights, and product and platform capabilities that enable operational success across USRM Claims & Service. The leader drives the cross-LOB transformation agenda by building future-ready products, capabilities, and processes that create customer value. Success in this role requires strong influence in a matrixed environment, the ability to connect business, product, and technology partners, and a proven track record of driving outcomes through prioritization, alignment, and escalation. The role also requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Claims & Service leaders, Product, Actuarial, Technology, and functions across USRM & Liberty Mutual.

Key Responsibilities

  • In partnership with aligned USRM C&S executive leaders, determines strategic vision for cross-LOB processes, product and platform needs and ensures vision and strategy are directly mapped to USRM and LMG’s goals.
  • Drives alignment and decision making on key priorities, strategic direction, and problem solving across Claims and Service.
  • Ensures business strategy is effectively translated into product strategies and there is alignment with business objectives for those spanning across multiple Claims verticals.
  • Partners with USRM Experience to drive operational excellence across our strategy-to-execution ecosystem for Product Owners across the Claims & Service I&S teams.
  • Drives analytical and process excellence to efficiently deliver consistently great experiences for our customers, agents, and employees.
  • Collaborates with and influences various stakeholders across C&S to support the development of and fulfilling the Claims & Service strategic roadmap.
  • Owns cross-LOB systems and processes, including capacity management, compliance, sustainability of initiatives, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Sustains and improves a high performing, highly engaged team by effectively attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent. Provides Leadership, direction, and support to drive the success of the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree required
  • MBA, Masters or other advance education/degree or equivalent experience in relevant roles is highly preferred
  • P&C Claims experience is highly preferred with experience in specific lines of business
  • Minimum 10 years of experience including 5 or more years in a leadership role
  • Must have relevant and recent leadership experience with demonstrable track record of developing high performing teams that consistently delivered superior results
  • Demonstrated decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve aligned business objectives
