Description
We are seeking a strategic and execution‑driven Senior Analyst, Project Management with strong Liability Claims expertise to join our U.S. Casualty team within the Claims Enablement Process & Insights (P&I) organization. This individual is accountable for managing and delivering projects that improve U.S. Casualty claims processes, strengthen claims quality, and drive superior operational outcomes.
In this role, you will lead initiatives from assessment through implementation, translating business needs and process strategies into practical, implementable solutions. You will manage business cases, project plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies while partnering closely with U.S. Casualty stakeholders and other key partners to ensure solutions align with business requirements and Claims Quality Standards. Success in this role requires hands‑on project execution, the ability to navigate competing priorities, and a strong understanding of Liability claims operations, systems, and workflows.
About the team:
The Process & Insights organization in Claims Enablement is responsible for implementing a think global, act local approach to process excellence, continuous improvement, partner connectivity and insights. We ensure UW profitability, and our overarching Claims strategy inform how we support Claims leadership and intake, build out, and execute on all initiatives. The team partners with Field Leadership, Claims Enablement, Underwriting, Service, Legal, Data Science Solutions, Training, Technology and other enabling functions to design and deliver the NA Claims vision.
***You will be required to go into the office twice a month if you reside within 50 miles of one of the following offices: Westborough, MA; Boston, MA; Hoffman Estates, IL; Lake Oswego, OR; Chandler, AZ; Las Vegas, NV; Plano, TX; or Suwanee, GA. Please note this policy is subject to change***
Responsibilities:
- Support the assessment, design, implementation, and measurement of Claims standards, best practices, and initiatives of low to moderate complexity with support.
- Serve as the project lead on most initiatives, owning scope, planning, execution, and delivery while managing timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by looking broadly across lines of business, systems, and processes to drive sustainable solutions.
- Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to build alignment, drive engagement, and ensure solutions are effectively adopted and maintained.
- With support, develop and execute clear, targeted communication plans for projects, tailored to a wide range of audiences including operational partners and leaders.
- Work with analytics to build relevant datasets, validate results, and translate findings into recommendations
- Demonstrate strong root‑cause problem‑solving capabilities to diagnose issues and deliver practical, scalable solutions.
- Support subject matter experts by contributing practical insights, documenting best practices, and helping promote continuous improvement.
- Develop presentation materials with a logical narrative and deliver targeted briefings to leadership and other stakeholders as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Liability claims handling experience
- Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience, minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including demonstrated experience in the following; basic analytics, root cause problem solving, and effective communication
- Exposure to project management is preferential
- Experience commensurate with above expectations
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of project management principles and concepts.
- Proven ability to manage the project management life cycle.
- Proficient with project management tools.
- Project management certification preferred.
- Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills; effective team building skills.
- Solid business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
- Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 5+ years of relevant experience to include project management work.
