In this role, you will work under minimal direction to design, implement, manage, and continuously enhance the organization’s overall security posture. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge security solutions across global data centers, offices, and cloud environments. This position requires balancing strong technical depth with strategic thinking, ensuring security solutions are both effective and aligned with business priorities.
About the job:
- Manages, develops, deploys, and supports security solutions globally to include regional data centers, Liberty Mutual local offices, and cloud environments.
- Creating and maintenance of threat models with tech partners.
- Works to achieve compliance assurance with tech partners and GRC.
- Works to understand and find creative ways to implement security solutions with tech partners with competing priorities.
- Keeps abreast of industry cybersecurity trends and brings new ideas to the table.
- Adeptly utilizes AI tools at their disposal for a myriad of activities while always maintain accountability
- Supports security application development initiatives requiring innovation, automation, and integration.
- Supports security incidents, service delivery, technology configuration and lifecycle, and technical security investigations and forensic collection.
- Acts as an expert member of an agile team focused on technology analysis, design, documentation, testing, implementation and support for highly complex security operations and processes.
- Serves as an expert team member supporting security projects or subprojects of increasing complexity.
- Articulates multiple business operations, key business decisions, and technology implications within a single business process.
- Understands and develops business process improvements that address the most complex functional and technology gaps within a single business process.
- Develops technology enabled recommendations to address gaps within a single business process.
- Proactively identifies potential impact on business strategy and recommends potential solutions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience; technical Master`s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of Cybersecurity experience.
- Prior experience working with IT talent partners, Legal professionals, IT Shared Services.
- A thorough understanding of cybersecurity as a broad domain of practice with practical hands-on experience so recommendations coming from candidate come from a position of experience not just “by the book”.
- A cybersecurity and IT generalist who is able to dive deep on any one particular implementation of a technology or security capability.
- Solid understanding and experience in cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2.
- Industry cybersecurity and/or technology certifications are an expectation.
- Has a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator.
- Proactively identifying risks and driving solutions independently and pulling in support where needed.
- Team player who has the team’s best interest in mind at all times.
- Considered a subject matter expert of many cybersecurity technologies, IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, as well as security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols.
- Negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills.
- Expert consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements.
- Leader within and consultant to agile working environments to include both SCRUM and KANBAN.
- Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.
- Expert proficiency across architectural analysis, business analysis and financial disciplines, security and compliance, data integration and analytics, social networking, computational thinking, mobile competency, dimensional and lateral thinking, application delivery, system and technology integration, system software infrastructure, and workplace adaptability.
