Description

Senior Product Owner / Product Leader

If you’re a data-driven strategist energized by solving customer problems, building high-performing teams, and turning big ideas into real impact, you might be the perfect fit. The Independent Agent Distribution team is looking for a Senior Product Owner as we continue to evolve the next generation of Personal Lines IA sales experiences.

In this role, you’ll lead a team of four direct reports (3 Product Owners and 1 Business Analyst) to help shape the strategy, roadmap, and delivery approach for property within New Q&I. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, connect the dots across business and technology, and ensure we’re delivering meaningful value to independent agents and our business.

This leader will play a critical role in advancing our web analytics strategy, implementing and operationalizing tools like ContentSquare and Adobe Analytics in partnership with cross functional teams, leveraging data to better understand customer behavior, identify friction points, and inform decisions. With property in a critical stage as we prepare to launch an end-to-end Home quote flow in Q4, this role will help ensure we are focused, aligned, and executing with urgency and clarity.

You’ll join the Independent Agent Distribution team, where we’re focused on creating a best-in-class sales experience that delights agents, drives new business, and sets a new market standard. If you’re curious, tenacious, and passionate about building innovative experiences (and developing others to do the same!) this is a role you’ll want to explore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team, providing coaching, direction, and support to strengthen product thinking, execution, and stakeholder partnership.
  • Partner with DPO to define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader business priorities and partner product roadmaps.
  • Champion the use of web analytics, customer insights, and behavioral data to inform decisions, optimize experiences, and improve conversion and usability.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams, setting expectations for scope, sequencing, timelines, and delivery trade-offs.
  • Contribute to portfolio-level KPI definition, tracking, and performance management tied to business outcomes.
  • Collaborate across a highly matrixed organization to maintain alignment between roadmaps, remove roadblocks, and support execution.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Strong strategy and visioning: You can see the big picture, connect customer needs to business outcomes, and translate into a clear roadmap.
  • People leadership skills: You enjoy coaching, developing, and empowering teams to do their best work, embracing High Performance Culture.
  • Analytical foundation: You use data, analytics, and customer insights to identify opportunities, prioritize decisions, and measure success.
  • Comfort in ambiguity: You thrive in dynamic environments and know how to create clarity and momentum where there isn’t always a perfect answer.
  • Cross-functional influence: You are a strong storyteller and trusted partner who can influence executive, technical, and business audiences.
  • Operational rigor: You can balance strategy with execution, ensuring the team is focused, aligned, and delivering with discipline.
  • Agent-first mindset: You care deeply about building solutions that are intuitive, efficient, and meaningful for Independent Agents.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelors’ degree in relevant field (business, computer science, etc.) and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in business, engineering, technology and/or consulting. Master’s degree preferred.
  • High level of proven business expertise needed to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts.
  • Technical proficiency required to oversee quarterly & sprint planning and to have an informed, independent voice.
  • Strong influencing skills to be seen as the decision maker when interfacing with business, and willingness to dissent with both teams and business.
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders through strong leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and inspire both direct reports and matrixed teams.
  • Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty in a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to convey information clearly and concisely
