Service Insights & Solutions is seeking an experienced analytics professional to join the Service Enablement team as the Director I or Assistant Director, Advanced Analytics, supporting all cross-Service deliverables and supporting Service leader decision making and prioritization. This role serves as the connector across all Service analytics teams, Workforce Planning, Finance, Solutions, and other Service enabling partners for recurring analytics asks and activities related to portfolio monitoring and governance. This interconnectedness across those groups, and across all below responsibilities, helps ensure that Service initiatives are aimed at the highest value add work, aligned to financial plan, and deliver the intended value. This is a range 17 / 18 role based on candidate experience.
**This role may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location**
Candidates who live within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, coming into the office two days per week. Otherwise, this role is remote.
**Level of position offered will be based on skills and experience at manager discretion**
Responsibilities:
- MOR: Responsible for pulling together and facilitating the Service MOR, along with being the point person and spokesperson for Service results at the Claims and Service MOR
- Financial planning: Acts as the Service I&S point of contact and lead for annual financial planning, working closely with Finance, Service Analytics, Workforce Planning, and the Service operational leaders
- Portfolio monitoring: Regularly reviewing results of critical initiatives and tracking progress relative to committed valuations, and sharing out with Service leaders and partners
- Governance: Works closely with the Claims Cross LOB team on governance and portfolio related asks and deliverables
- Alignment: Support the identification and alignment of Service Leadership Team priorities and key discussion topics, while assisting with the planning and execution of strategy sessions and offsites
- Analyst Contractor Management: Oversee and manage contractor support to ensure delivery against key analytics and planning priorities.
This role will have an influential voice with the Service Insights & Solutions and Service leadership teams, helping shape agendas and focus areas for those leadership teams. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and organization capabilities, have the ability to communicate strategic insights effectively, particularly with executives, and be able to navigate ambiguity. Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field; Ph.D. helpful given quantitative work they are leading.
- Minimum 8, typically 10, years' experience; must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making and project management skills.
- Expert knowledge of data sources, tools and business drivers.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques required. Industry knowledge critical.
