Description

The Property & Specialty Product Delivery team is looking for a driven, adaptable and highly capable professional to help us deliver on some of our most complex and high-impact initiatives.

We are seeking a Director I (individual contributor) to initially lead the project management of our Umbrella rating program migration, a technically and organizationally complex initiative that requires coordinating across Product, Tech, Distribution and Operations to deliver the right outcome for our customers, agents and the company. Beyond the Umbrella migration, this role will flex to support a broader set of cross-organizational initiatives over time, including future line of business migrations and larger cross-functional programs that require project management, filing support and tech requirements build from a Product perspective.

This role requires strong project management skills, clear and consistent communication, and the ability to work effectively across varied cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to hold their own in data and pricing discussions, and skilled at gathering the context needed to drive complex projects forward. As the migration matures, this role will evolve into a broader remit. You’ll take on varied, high-impact cross-organizational initiatives across all P&S lines of business, spanning project management, filing support and tech requirements build.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project management of the Umbrella rating program migration, coordinating across Product, Tech, Distribution and Operations to drive multiple workstreams forward simultaneously, balancing speed against the need to minimize disruption for customers and agents

• Proactively identify and manage risks, decisions and dependencies across workstreams, escalating where appropriate

• Engage confidently with data and pricing discussions across workstreams, gathering the context needed to drive projects forward

• Support filing and tech requirements build as needed across cross-functional initiatives

• Provide regular, clear and well-structured updates to leadership and the broader organization on project status, risks and upcoming milestones

• As the Umbrella migration matures, support the planning and execution of future line of business migrations, applying lessons learned to accelerate delivery

• Take on an expanding portfolio of cross-organizational initiatives beyond the Umbrella migration, bringing Product Delivery leadership to programs across P&S lines of business

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong foundation in project or program management, with a track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives through to execution in fast-moving environments

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, consistent and well-structured updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

• Strong adaptability, comfortable shifting focus as business needs evolve, able to ramp up quickly on new and varied initiatives, and energized by the opportunity to take on a broader and more varied remit as the role evolves

• The ability to engage confidently in data and pricing discussions, gathering the context needed to move work forward without needing to be a subject matter expert

• Comfort working across varied cross-functional teams, building trust and alignment with colleagues across Product, Tech, Distribution and Operations

• Familiarity with insurance product delivery, rating programs or related processes is a plus

• Experience with filing support or tech requirements build in a business-facing capacity is strongly preferred

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field
  • Minimum 7 years relevant work experience, typically 10 years
  • PhD or equivalent research experience beneficial
  • Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (eg, SAS, Emblem)
  • Must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience managing or leading others beneficial
