Job Description
The Senior Compliance Analyst will operate with minimal supervision to oversee and manage interactions with the Department of Insurance (DOI), specifically focusing on Market Conduct Exams, Data Calls, and Regulatory Changes. This role requires an understanding of regulatory requirements and their implications across various functional areas within the organization. The Senior Compliance Analyst will collaborate closely with regulatory counsel and key stakeholders to formulate strategic responses to regulatory inquiries, ensuring compliance with industry standards and fostering positive regulatory relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Response Management: Coordinate the gathering of information from diverse stakeholders and data partners to compile thorough responses for regulatory inquiries. Utilize creative problem-solving skills to tackle challenges and strategize defenses, collaborating with regulatory counsel and peer analysts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions that meet regulatory requirements and protect the company from further scrutiny.
Regulatory Interaction & Support: Manage relationships with state examiners through the life of an exam or data call. Support seamless interactions with the state, including access for DOI examiners to Liberty systems. Provide comprehensive training to examiners on the use of multiple systems, facilitating their ability to navigate and utilize necessary tools for effective evaluations. Respond to questions and inquiries proactively as they arise to ensure an efficient review process.
Regulatory Change Evaluation: Assess new regulatory changes to gauge their potential impact on compliance and risk management. Communicate findings to stakeholders in accordance with established workflows, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned on necessary adjustments to meet evolving regulatory demands.
Process Improvement Participation: Actively engage in discussions aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance operations. Employ a proactive, results-oriented mindset to identify and implement opportunities for improvement, enabling the team to meet regulatory requirements with agility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compliance analysis and/or project management is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry; Liberty Claims or Product experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting; able to interpret and visualize data to support decision-making processes.
- Experience with Liberty business systems including Navigator, ClaimCenter, BLCC, PST, CSW, CBS, BPS, and SharePoint external sharing.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing condition while achieving results.
- Strong interpersonal skills to encourage collaboration and discussion both within the team and across the organization.
- Proven ability to negotiate project direction and effectively communicate with diverse audiences at all organizational levels to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Capable of leading meetings and delivering presentations to increasingly larger audiences.
- High attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive successful outcomes.
