Description

The USRM Agency Distribution Solutions (ADS) Strategy & Alignment team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support strategic initiatives and ongoing program optimization efforts. ADS delivers programs that enable agents to sell products outside of our standard Liberty offerings, as well as several referral programs. The Strategy & Alignment team helps define the strategic direction for these programs while also providing project management support for new and ongoing initiatives.

The Project Manager will lead workstreams and manage projects by applying core project management principles to plan, coordinate, and track deliverables. This role will also help identify and evaluate new project

opportunities that support key strategic initiatives, including conducting research and analysis, developing businesses cases and securing by-in from senior leadership.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager for complex initiatives; (e.g. major strategic priorities, multi-workstream efforts, senior stakeholder engagements, and projects with 6–12 month timelines)
  • Define project objectives, scope, schedule, milestones, and resource needs while ensuring stakeholders remain informed and aligned.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and task tracking tools; monitor progress and coordinate day-to-day execution to keep work on schedule.
  • Identify business needs and gather stakeholder input to support alignment and secure buy-in for new initiatives.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to assess opportunities and provide clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Manage competing priorities and ensure assigned work supports broader project timelines and business objectives.
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings; prepare concise status updates and reports for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify issues, risks, and roadblocks; partner with team members to implement solutions and recommend preferred approaches when trade-offs are required.
  • Lead project closeout activities, capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements to support future and ongoing work.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear status updates and basic presentations for varied audiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management fundamentals and the project life cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver results with limited oversight.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at driving work forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and proactive team player with the confidence to take initiative and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and project management tools; comfortable with moderate data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in project management, operations, strategy, analytical, or related roles.
  • Experience with Small Commercial Insurance preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and concepts.
  • Proven ability to manage the project management life cycle for projects of varying complexity.
  • Project management certification preferred.
  • Ability to plan/organize/delegate work; communicate effectively; analyze and solve problems; give constructive feedback and praise; create alignment and adapt.
  • Displays solid business acumen and integrated thinking.
  • Proven business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
  • Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in addition to a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to include project management work and prior experience effectively providing mentoring/guidance to others.
