Description
Seated within Claims and Service Insights & Solutions, and aligned to the USRM Service organization, the Service Enablement Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in managing projects that are non-cyclical and varied, while also strategically advancing the USRM Service organization's objectives and supporting key initiatives aligned with the overall business plan. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for owning end-to-end development and execution of large-scale, high priority initiatives, complex projects, and programs for key Service priorities and enabling cross-functional
collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a portfolio of projects to include those considered complex in nature with function-wide and/or USRM-wide impact.
- Define the business case with input from stakeholders, identifying project objectives, scope, timing, and resources.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate project status to stakeholders and manager and Service / I&S leadership as needed.
- Direct stakeholders towards consensus points, gaining buy-in for recommendations.
- Escalate and resolve issues that may impact project objectives, identifying trade-offs between options and influencing the recommended approach.
- Perform project close-out steps, including identifying lessons learned and best practices to inform future projects, applying continuous improvement methodologies.
- Advance the Service organization's objectives, both tactically and long-term, by driving the priority's strategic direction through thought leadership and problem-solving.
- Influence and partner with I&S peers, Service leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive USRM and Service's strategic priorities.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and thought leader for a Service priority area, executing initiatives in line with the overarching strategy.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives to achieve the USRM and/or Service strategy and annual plan.
- Provide mentoring to less experienced staff.
Qualifications
- Expert-level ability in managing all aspects of the project management life cycle for multiple projects at one time to include those complex in nature.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools.
- Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in collaborative and creative ways. Project management certification strongly preferred.
- Displays advanced communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills as well as advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Advanced business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
- Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to include project management work.
