Global Risk Solutions North America Claims has an exciting opportunity for a Claims Strategic Initiatives Specialist II position.

This Claims Strategic Initiatives Specialist role sits within the Strategy & Programs organization in North America Claims Enablement and will support large-scale, cross-lines initiatives across GRS NA Claims. The Strategy & Programs team integrates strategy, program execution, and development to drive alignment to enterprise priorities and advance the NA Claims 2030 vision. The team is responsible for translating business and underwriting priorities into actionable Claims strategies while managing a coordinated portfolio of cross-lines programs and initiatives. This role supports the broader NA Claims organization, including Canada.

This role will operate within that framework as a Program and Initiative Lead, partnering closely with Process & Insights, Operations, Development, Technology, Data Science & Analytics (DSS), and Claims business leaders to help plan, coordinate, and deliver enterprise initiatives. The Claims Strategic Initiatives Specialist will play a key role in driving execution across workstreams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring initiatives progress with clarity, pace, and accountability. Key responsibilities include supporting cross-lines program management, coordinating initiative intake and prioritization, tracking execution against key milestones, and helping translate strategic direction into actionable plans. The role will also support stakeholder alignment, risk identification, and communication to ensure delivery of high-impact outcomes across the Claims organization.

This individual's portfolio encompasses a variety of responsibilities including supporting top-tier claims processes and continuous improvement, delivering claims insights and feedback mechanisms, enhancing partner connectivity to address issues, and driving solutions. Additionally, this role will require executing on all phases of the project life cycle including cross-function collaboration, stakeholder management as well as driving accountability while owning engagement and collaboration with stakeholders to improve and maintain solutions.

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of strong project execution, stakeholder management, high attention to detail, an innate curiosity, and the ability to work with ambiguity.

Job requirements:

  • Project Management scope, build, and execute on moderate to advanced project plans with a strong understanding of critical paths, milestones, and risks
  • Leads workstreams end-to-end with limited oversight, proactively aligning on priorities and escalating as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly absorb and synthesize concepts
  • Demonstrates root cause problem solving skills
  • Foundational use / understanding of analytics and data to form arguments, assess opportunities, and measure impact
  • Strong presentation skills, including but not limited to: Formation of arguments, storytelling skills, executive presence
  • Engages stakeholders through relationship management and strong influencing skills
  • Navigates ambiguity to deliver clarity and alignment on solutions with cross-reaching implications across NA Claims

You will be required to go into the office twice a month if you reside within 50 miles of one of the following offices: Westborough, MA; Hoffman Estates, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Lake Oswego, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Plano, TX; Boston, MA; Suwanee, GA; Chandler, AZ; or Weatogue, CT. Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience, minimum of 7 years of relevant experience including demonstrated experience in the following: project management, thought leadership, accountability for downstream impact, intermediate analytics, root cause problem solving, and effective communication
  • Experience with GRS Claims strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization and clearly and concisely express opinions, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
  • Strong presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Industry certifications preferred (ex: AEI, IIA, CPCU)
  • Change management champion and advocate
