Description
Responsible for leading regional sales leadership team for Comparion Insurance Agency. As a direct report to the President, Comparion, leads the development of the countrywide sales plan, develops and executes the strategic plan for the zone, and has responsibility for the Divisions P&L. Establishes annual and long range sales goals for zone. Has primary responsibility for ensuring that growth and profit strategies are aligned with agency strategy. Develops and drives marketing and sales best practices; coordinates the collaboration and strategies of other groups within the organization; and approves agency facing initiatives, resulting in a cohesive multi-disciplined strategy to achieve objectives. Provides leadership, guidance and coaching to the leadership team responsible for managing an assigned region of agency sales operations.
- Provides input into the Comparion growth strategy, and leads the development and execution of the Zone growth and profitability strategies; leading alignment within and across functions and communicates throughout the entire operation. Ensures business plans for sub-regions and territories have appropriate goals, clearly identified key challenges and initiatives for growth in profits.
- Monitors and analyzes budgets and results and takes timely corrective action as necessary. Achieves all financial metrics of annual plan, including budget and management of expenses, FTE and productivity.
- Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities, while emphasizing collaboration with functional partners. Proactively partners and fosters strong relationships with cross-functional leaders and collaboration within Agency Distribution Solutions. Drives cross-functional understanding and awareness of Comparion strategies. Represents Comparion as a point of contact and a key decision maker with operations, carriers, etc. to drive initiatives forward.
- Builds and maintains effective executive relationships with sponsored carriers.
- Develops a strong leadership team with the appropriate skills to meet/exceed goals. Works through regional leaders to motivate and hold frontline managers accountable to achieve objectives and goals.
- Supports regional management team in the development of territory marketing plans, strategies and tactics to achieve agency goals.
- Leads regional management team to ensure that new business and retention quotas are met through planning, counseling, and motivating the sales workforce. Responsible for driving employee engagement by creating
- Leads the prioritization and execution of strategic initiatives in partnership with Agency Distribution Solutions.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to maximize profitable growth and customer satisfaction. Leads significant strategic initiatives impacting sales growth performance; ensures field adoption of key projects/initiatives with transformative organizational results.
Qualifications
- Highly-effective oral and written communication skills, including interviewing, training, presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills required.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of P&C and A&H insurance products and services, marketing techniques, insurance contracts, funding and rating.
- Proven leadership and change management experience, operating management of a personal lines local sales force is strongly preferred.
- Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience/training and 15+ years of insurance sales and management work experience. CPCU designation or MBA degree preferred.
