Description

Project Evergreen is a multi-year Workers’ Compensation transformation initiative focused on modernizing legacy claims capabilities, improving operating processes, and establishing a stronger technology foundation for the future. To support successful adoption and launch readiness, Evergreen requires dedicated business readiness capacity to ensure people, processes, governance, and support structures are prepared alongside the technology throughout each major milestone.

To provide this focused capacity, we are adding a dedicated Senior Change Practitioner who will be 100% dedicated to Evergreen, reporting into the TMO Change function.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Change Practitioner, you will lead the change management and readiness activities required to prepare the business for successful adoption, process transition, and launch readiness. You will drive stakeholder communication, training, change adoption, and operational readiness activities that ensure the business is prepared for go-live and sustained success. This is both a strategic and hands-on execution role: you will shape the approach and actively drive the work forward, partnering closely with leaders and teams to translate readiness strategy into sustainable operating performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, change management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foster continuous improvement in a fast-moving transformation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Change Management & Adoption

  • Develop and execute change management plans that support adoption, stakeholder alignment, and readiness throughout Evergreen implementation, leveraging established frameworks such as Prosci.
  • Manage stakeholder communications across business, leadership, and program teams, including communication plans, campaigns, and cadence.
  • Lead the Change Champion Network to build awareness, gather feedback, and support local adoption.
  • Measure adoption indicators and feedback loops, including pulse surveys, Voice of Employee input, and community engagement, and use insights to adjust plans in real time.

Training & Enablement

  • Develop and deliver role-based training in partnership with Learning Services to prepare employees for new processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Support learning proficiency validation through knowledge checks and hands-on assessments aligned to release timelines.

Business & Operational Readiness

  • Support business process evolution and readiness activities, including testing, validation, and adoption planning.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess change impacts, define readiness needs, and plan business transition activities.
  • Drive cross-functional readiness governance and coordinate operational preparedness checkpoints, including clear “must be true” conditions for go-live.
  • Coordinate with WC business owners to ensure SOPs and key processes are delivered, reviewed, and approved before launch.
  • Support go-live readiness and transition to steady state, including the Day 1 support model, escalation paths, and hypercare.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of business readiness, change management, and operational transition, preferably in an Operations or Claims environment.
  • Experience applying change management frameworks, such as Prosci, to assess impacts, drive adoption, and sustain change across people, process, technology, and controls.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive cross-functional alignment without direct authority, building consensus and clarity of ownership across teams.
  • Understanding of organizational culture and its influence on change adoption and readiness.
  • Strong execution and problem-solving skills in a fast-moving, ambiguous transformation environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences — from frontline teams to senior leaders — and translate complex change into clear, actionable direction.
  • Proficiency with project and change management tools across the full project life cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including project or change management work.

***Current in-office expectations are 2 days a week in-office if located within 50 miles of an office hub, and subject to change at any time***

Qualifications

  • Expert-level ability in managing all aspects of the project management life cycle for multiple projects at one time to include those complex in nature.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools.
  • Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in collaborative and creative ways. Project management certification strongly preferred.
  • Displays advanced communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills as well as advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
  • Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to include project management work.
