Description
Do you want to shape future product offerings within USRM by helping the Personal Lines Specialty Team build best-in-class products across the portfolio while working to simplify our business by defining complex problems and recommending solutions?
The US Retail Markets PL Specialty Product organization is hiring a Consultant for the Specialty Frontier and Product Development team. This role will split time between Frontier work—driving product convergence, Legacy Book consolidation, and operationalization of our go-forward products—and Specialty product development—researching, incubating and implementing new product concepts. You will partner with cross-functional Specialty Product teams to drive alignment on your recommendations and ensure they are incorporated into our go-forward Frontier offerings.
This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to different products and programs within the Specialty portfolio. You can expect to think strategically about what course of action we should take and tactically about how we’ll get your proposed solutions to market. It is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking team preparing USRM for future success!
Frontier Transformation

- Gain consensus on recommendations across key stakeholders in the Specialty Product ecosystem (e.g. Specialty Directors, Delivery, Development, USDS)
- Contribute to and manage business simplification project timelines and roadmaps, closely monitoring risks and dependencies
Specialty Product Development
- Lead research and discovery for new product concepts: design experiments, synthesize competitor and customer insights, and produce recommendations
- Translate exploratory findings into testable requirements and partner with Delivery/USDS to run pilots or proofs-of-concept
- Communicate findings to senior stakeholders and help determine which concepts should progress through the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, information management, economics, or other quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years, typically 6 years or more of relevant work experience.
- Knowledgeable in data query languages and tools; proficient in new and emerging technologies; may possess data modeling skills.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of data concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of data architectures, solutions and designs; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives.
