Description

Are you energized by turning data into decisions that shape products used by millions of customers? Our Coverage A Product Design and Development team is hiring a Consultant or Assistant Director to help ensure our customers have the right coverage at every stage of their policy.

Coverage A (dwelling coverage) is central to how we protect our policyholders' homes. Our team owns Coverage A determination and experience across all channels and transaction types — spanning dwelling feature collection in the quoting application, third-party vendor Replacement Cost Estimate (RCE) calculations, and more!

In this role, you'll identify opportunities to improve the Coverage A determination experience through in-depth research and analysis, directly influencing our go-to-market design. This is high-visibility, high-impact work that meaningfully drives value for both our customers and our business.

**This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.**

**This is a ranged G16/G17 posting and level offered will be based on candidate experience at manager discretion.**

We are seeking candidates who bring:

  • Intellectual curiosity — you're eager to tackle large, ambiguous, complex problems and uncover new opportunities.
  • Product and project management experience — with manager support, you've successfully managed projects from concept to implementation.
  • Analytical and technical proficiency — you gather, interpret, and evaluate data across multiple quantitative and qualitative sources, with hands-on skills in SAS and/or Snowflake.
  • Strong communication skills — you clearly articulate insights and complex concepts, in verbal, written, and slide format, to executive-level audiences.
  • Self-motivation — you're highly organized, take initiative, and follow through proactively.
  • A collaborative approach — you contribute to a dynamic, inclusive culture within your team and across partner teams.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop subject-matter expertise in property and specialty Cost Guide, Replacement Cost Estimate, and Coverage A product features.
  • Conduct complex analyses under general direction — independently querying data, building tools for team use, and performing technical and analytical assessments of product features and key performance metrics.
  • Lead and project-manage initiatives with manager guidance, partnering with Risk Analytics, State Management, Distribution, Technology, Policy & Production Support, and other cross-functional teams to design and implement changes.
  • Synthesize research and analysis into insights and actionable recommendations that shape product design and strategy.
  • Regularly present insights and recommendations to Product and Distribution leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Gather external research — including competitive intelligence and insights from vendors, market research teams, and other functional areas.
  • Serve as a resource for less-experienced analysts and mentor interns or rotational analysts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field Minimum 4 year's relevant work experience, typically 6 years.
  • Master's degree beneficial. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
  • Experience managing projects preferred.

Employees may apply for a new role after completing 12 months of employment in their current position.

Employees should review all role requirements and apply only for positions for which they are eligible. Hiring processes may vary by country, including differences in procedures, requirements, and timelines. For country-specific details, please consult your local recruiting / HR team.
