This role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days onsite) for candidates based in Portsmouth, NH, Boston, MA, Plano, TX, Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH.

Job Introduction:
The Global Finance Technology organization is looking to hire a Senior SAP Reporting Configuration Engineer to their Record to Report (R2R) team within the OneGL program. Under limited supervision, these individuals would be responsible to analyze, develop, and configure new use cases utilizing SAP Reporting tools. These candidates will support production users and configure / test /train to support maintenance and enhancement of the OneGL finance environment supporting the financial month-end close process.
About the job:
- Configures a single module according to defined design specs and demonstrates in-depth understanding of transactions and major configuration options for a business process.
- Identifies and coordinates the interdependencies within the module to ensure development activities are positively impacted.
- Documents architecture development and standards.
- Assists with development of one program in a business process (e.g., interfaces, conversion, customizations).
- Participates in development for a single module or business process with internal and offshore/nearshore capabilities.
- Identifies process improvements that address complex functional and package technology gaps within a single business process.
- Analyzes and prepares complex technology-enabled recommendations to address gaps within a single business process.
- Identifies design elements of new business processes and package application design within a single business process.
- Identifies design solutions for functional and technical requirements (e.g., gap analysis, infrastructure, interfaces, reports, enhancements, and/or conversions).
- Works across releases to support reporting enhancements and establish global reporting standards.
- Develops complex test scripts and assists in coordinating test transactional data creation.
- Identifies and researches complex testing defects.
- Uses testing tools effectively for components within a single module or business process within a mixed team.
- Supports pieces of the implementation process such as post-implementation support, cutover plans, and transition planning.
- Other duties and projects assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of techno-functional SAP Finance experience.
- Hands-on experience with SAP reporting tools, including Analysis for Office, Web Intelligence, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Hands-on experience building Core Data Services (CDS) views using ABAP development tools in Eclipse.
- Understanding of financial transactional flow and SAP general ledger concepts, including company codes, chart of accounts, ledgers, coding blocks, profit centers, cost centers, currencies, etc.
- Understanding of finance business processes and the ability to map business requirements to standard SAP processes with minimal or no customization.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with ambiguous and incomplete information.
- Understanding of agile software development concepts and processes, including backlog tracking, prioritization, collaboration within a scrum team, and adaptability through incremental delivery.
- Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative, and be a logical thinker.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training in reporting and other SAP modules.
- Experience within the insurance or finance industry is preferred.
- Experience with Financial Product Subledger (FPSL), FI/CO, and PaPM modules.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Embedded Analytics.
- Experience in SAP BW, SAP BPC, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP HANA SQL, OData Services, and other cloud applications.
- Good knowledge of data modeling and ETL.
