Job Introduction:

The USRM Tech Product Prop & Spec Tech organization is looking to fill a Scrum Master II position. This position is part of an Agile team supporting the home products for independent agents. The candidate will be responsible for enabling the team to be more effective in applying Lean-Agile practices and cultivating an environment that supports agility. This role helps evolve and improve team practices to fit the needs of the teams and organization, coaches and mentors team members and stakeholders, and proactively removes barriers that impact delivery.

A key focus of this role is dependency management across multiple teams and workstreams, ensuring risks are identified early and delivery commitments can be met with greater predictability. Another important focus area is Jira hygiene, which supports accurate metrics, reporting, and overall backlog health. The candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery partners to track and resolve dependencies, support release planning, and maintain team health and cross-team communication. In doing so, this role fosters transparency, team ownership, strong decision-making, and continuous improvement.

About the job:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support effective team execution.
  • Drive dependency management across teams, initiatives, and releases.
  • Support release planning, sequencing, and cross-team coordination.
  • Coach teams on Agile mindset, Lean-Agile practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote healthy backlog management, Jira hygiene, and governance standards.
  • Partner with Product Owners to support intake, prioritization, and delivery readiness.
  • Monitor and communicate team health, flow, and delivery metrics.
  • Support non-program work entering the backlog, including tech debt, modernization, and rollouts.
  • Maintain documentation and onboarding materials to support knowledge sharing and team continuity.
  • Surface risks, blockers, and dependency concerns through timely escalation.
  • Partner with other Scrum Masters and portfolio leaders to drive consistency in practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc.).
  • Minimum 5+ years of Scrum Master experience.
  • Experience being on multiple Agile teams in a variety of different contexts.
  • Knowledge/training equivalent to advanced/2nd level certifications from a reputable Lean-Agile organization a plus but not required (PSM II, ICAgile Professional – Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF), ICAgile Professional – Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC))
  • Scrum certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a scaled agile framework preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
  • Track record of continued and recent education in Lean-Agile including training, conferences, user groups, cohorts, self-study, etc.
