This is a grade range posting 16/17 Your background and qualifications will be evaluated against the skills and experiences required for the position.

This position requires two in-office days per week for candidates who reside within 50 miles of Columbus, OH; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Indianapolis, IN; or Plano, TX.

Telematics is one of Liberty Mutual’s most strategic and rapidly evolving capabilities. By combining connected vehicle data, advanced analytics, and customer focused experiences, we help improve pricing accuracy, support safer driving behaviors, accelerate claims support, and create meaningful value for customers and the business. If you’re a collaborative product professional who enjoys leading Agile delivery, connecting customer needs to technology, and creating meaningful business outcomes, consider joining our Telematics team.

In this role, you’ll own squad level product delivery across business, technology, communications, and partner teams, turning important needs into valuable, deliverable work. Your focus will include highly visible priorities like RightTrack Continuous Pricing and Accident Assistance, shaping customer experiences used by millions and capabilities central to Liberty Mutual’s pricing, claims, and engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Owns squad level product delivery in partnership with stakeholders and the Agile team by aligning business needs, customer outcomes, priorities, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
  • Drives intake and refinement, translating high priority business needs into clear outcomes, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized deliverables.
  • Maintains a healthy squad backlog and contributes to roadmap planning with stakeholders and the Agile team, balancing value, priorities, capacity, dependencies, and delivery considerations.
  • Clarifies stakeholder needs and drives alignment when requirements are unclear or competing by aligning outcomes, surfacing tradeoffs, and building shared priorities.
  • Partners with engineers to understand architecture, APIs, data integrations, and system dependencies; asks informed questions to evaluate feasibility, risks, and tradeoffs while respecting technical expertise.
  • Plays a lead role in core Agile ceremonies and drives cross-team execution by partnering across business, technology, communications, and partner teams to resolve questions, manage dependencies, support progress, and contribute to product and customer experience KPIs.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Product delivery ownership: Owns delivery through partnership, creates clarity, and drives work from need to delivery with energy, care, and follow-through.
  • Backlog and roadmap stewardship: Translates high-priority needs into clear, actionable stories and maintains a focused squad roadmap that reflects customer value, business priorities, capacity, and dependencies.
  • Customer and journey focus: Looks beyond individual features to understand the end-to-end customer journey and helps deliver consistent, useful, and easy-to-understand experiences across customer touchpoints.
  • Technical partnership: Engages engineers early, respects their expertise, and learns enough about architecture, APIs, data, and integrations to ask informed questions and weigh feasibility, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Stakeholder partnership: Clarifies outcomes, facilitates decisions, surfaces tradeoffs, and builds alignment across business, technology, communications, and partner teams.
  • Learning agility: Is curious and motivated to learn unfamiliar products, technologies, data, integrations, and business processes.
  • Adaptability and judgment: Navigates ambiguity, balances competing priorities, and makes thoughtful product decisions in partnership with stakeholders and the Agile team.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with Agile teams and translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, or outcomes.
  • Experience contributing to backlog refinement, roadmap planning, prioritization, or delivery planning.
  • Ability to partner with engineers and technical teams to understand feasibility, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs while collaborating effectively across engineering, analytics, business, and customer experience teams.
  • Strong communication, organization, facilitation, and stakeholder partnership skills.
  • Ability to learn new products, technologies, data, integrations, and business processes quickly.
  • Experience with insurance, connected data, customer experience, communications, or technology products preferred.
