Job Introduction:
The Global Digital Services organization is searching for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead our Enterprise Architecture (EA) Program. EA is a technology-wide collaborative effort, organized to standardize and organize our IT infrastructure to align with business goals and enable IT growth and modernization. EA seeks to evangelize a clear vision for a cost-effective, flexible, and open platform architecture that will enable Liberty Mutual Technology to be modular and leverage best-in-class applications with a modern tech stack.
This position will provide structured support to help scale the impact of the workstreams that are executing on this strategy, as the Clear Architecture Vision progresses. To empower our technology enablers, we must elevate our enterprise architecture practice to new heights, enabling us to achieve our enterprise aspirations with greater ease. The TPM will play a key role in the evolution of EA practice.
- This position will involve interaction with leadership at various levels, including LM Tech ELT & SLT members, and will be accountable for leading planning and execution across multiple portfolios, domains, and consulting partners.
- The candidate will oversee the successful lead and delivery of the North Star Architecture, Tech Debt and Modernization frameworks, including facilitating collaboration among senior leaders and subject matter experts across business units to ensure successful accomplishment of our strategic priorities and EA specific outcomes.
- In this role, the TPM will be primarily responsible for regular executive communications with cross-functional groups of EAs, Directors of Architecture and Product Owners to define the EA practice goals, monitor progress, and manage dependencies and risks effectively.

- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for enterprise modernization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving successful implementation and governance across business units and departments.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and facilitate cross-functional team discussions, fostering collaboration, accountability throughout the modernization process.
- Vendor Management: Manage technology vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions within established timelines and budgets.
- Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to address resistance, facilitate cultural shifts, and ensure smooth adoption and ongoing governance of modernized systems.
- Risk Management: Identify and develop mitigation strategies for potential risks associated with the modernization efforts, ensuring the timely delivery of high-value business outcomes across the enterprise.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, including active listening skills, allow you to convey technical information effectively to diverse groups of stakeholders across a variety of different formats and serve as the primary point of contact for creating and delivering program communications.
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices within the program’s lifecycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical or business discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of Program / Project Management or implementation consulting experience including delivering software solutions in an agile environment.
- Proven track record in technical program management, driving enterprise-level initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional leadership abilities and highly developed interpersonal skills drive and achieve major transformational outcomes through influence, while lacking direct reporting authority.
- Critical thinking skills to enable contributions to solving complex business problems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and leverage data to drive decision-making.
- Deep ability to drive decision-making processes within the organization, using Strategic Thinking skills.
