Description
This is a net new role within the USRM Consolidated Results & Insights State Enablement team created to lead NextGen Actuals, a newly kickstarted initiative within USRM Finance focused on enabling the most granular P&L data possible, while eliminating reliance on allocations and cross-subsidization, wherever feasible. As the State Enablement lead for this workstream, this role will own the direction and day-to-day execution of the project, in close partnership with a peer role on the Results & Insights Data Solutions team (to be posted separately), who will lead the data and technical side of the effort.
The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of P&L reporting, is energized by early-stage, build-from-scratch work and is comfortable operating with ambiguity as the project's scope and roadmap continue to take shape. This role will engage broadly across USRM Finance and enterprise partners to assess feasibility, build business cases, and drive prioritization across a broad set of granularity opportunities. The role will also serve as a key point of contact for communicating project updates to senior USRM Finance leadership.
This position is being posted at a Gr. 16/17 level and the final grade will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and prior experience at manager discretion.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end direction and execution of the NextGen Actuals workstream, advancing priority items through Identification, Research, Solutioning, and Build
• Partner closely with the Data Solutions peer role to align on prioritization and technical feasibility across the project's opportunity backlog
• Assess feasibility and build business cases for data granularity opportunities across P&L accounts in partnership with primary stakeholders across Corporate Finance (FP&A, Accounting Operations, etc.),
USRM Planning, and all non-Finance USRM functions (Risk Analytics, Product, Insights & Solutions, etc.)
• Build financial models to assess the impact of proposed reporting changes, helping leadership understand trade-offs and make informed decisions before changes are implemented
• Ensure NextGen Actuals requirements are represented in roadmaps of enterprise initiatives such as OneGL, Frontier, etc. to avoid duplicative or throw-away work
• Communicate project status, resourcing needs, and roadmap updates to senior USRM Finance leadership on a recurring basis
• Serve as an individual contributor for the time being; as project scope evolves, this role will have the opportunity to influence future hiring decisions and help shape the team's growth
• Challenge the status quo and champion process improvement opportunities, including automation and AI-driven solutions, to accelerate progress toward more granular, accurate reporting
Qualifications
• Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) required. CPA or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of finance experience.
• Must demonstrate ability to execute thoroughly in a fast-paced work environment, adapting quickly to changing conditions to achieve results.
• Facilitates cross-functional collaboration and communicates effectively to a wide variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
• Comfortable managing projects, leading meetings and making presentations to increasingly large audiences. Advanced understanding of Finance Tools and Analytical Methods.
