Manager, Risk Assessment & Controls

Global Risk Solutions writes business in more than 20 countries, and the controls behind that business have to hold up everywhere. This role owns a meaningful piece of how we prove they do and how we keep proving it faster, using the AI tools now built into the way our team works.

This is a role for someone who genuinely likes both halves of controls work: the analytical half, where you dig into a process and find the gap nobody else noticed, and the influencing half, where you bring a business owner along without owning their process or their decision. You'll partner with underwriting, claims, compliance and finance leaders across North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific and with external program partners, where you'll often be the Liberty Mutual voice in the room.

The opportunity

You'll help lead how GRS assures and strengthens its control environment worldwide driving the resolution of audit findings, elevating the quality of account reconciliations, building attestation programs from the ground up, and leading controls audits of our program partners. Alongside all of it, you'll bring a builder's mindset to how the work itself gets done: using GenAI to take on the mechanical lift so more of your time and your team's goes toward judgment, not formatting.

Where you'll make an impact

• • Support the external audit process- Coordinating request, resolving open items with external auditor on a timely basis.
• Controls & attestation quality
  • Raise the bar on the controls framework across GRS strengthening account reconciliations and attestation coverage across entities and extending that same rigor to every project and initiative the business takes on.
  • Turn documentation, process gaps and structural weaknesses into durable fixes.
• Program partner oversight
  • Plan and lead controls audits of external program partners, testing what they report against what actually happens and following up until remediation is real.
• AI-augmented analysis
  • Put GenAI to work on reshaping data, drafting first-pass analysis and getting up to speed on technical findings quickly then build repeatable AI workflows the rest of the team can use too.
• People leadership
• • Coach and develop team members, including across significant time-zone gaps, building their judgment so they can make sound calls independently.

• Preferred Qualifications

  • Property & casualty insurance experience programs, reinsurance or surety a plus
  • CPA, CIA, CPCU or an advanced degree in accounting, finance or business
  • Prior people-leadership experience
