Description

Liberty Mutual's in-house Media team, Bedloe, is seeking a strategic and technically fluent MarTech Media Director to shape the future of our marketing technology stack. This role will own the vision, evaluation, and evolution of the platforms, tools, and vendor relationships that power media execution and measurement across Bedloe.

You will be a key architect of Liberty's martech/adtech roadmap: assessing the competitive landscape, vetting new platform partnerships, and driving investment decisions that balance innovation with scale. The ideal candidate brings deep martech/adtech domain expertise, strong strategic vision, and the ability to build consensus across technical and Media stakeholders, working with broad latitude and autonomy. The candidate will need a strong understanding of Media Buying and the ability to collaborate with Media buying partners to build technical solutions that drive measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision & Platform Expertise: Applies deep martech/adtech subject matter expertise and understanding of short- and long-term technology impacts to Liberty's media and measurement ecosystem. Proactively identifies strategic opportunities and vets new martech/adtech partnerships (e.g., DSPs, CDPs, measurement and identity vendors).
  • Investment & Budget Ownership: Owns complex vendor & technology engagements with budget responsibilities. Guide strategic vendor relationships in Martech/Adtech, Research the marketplace and surgace strategic opportunities, guide existing relationships and manage expenses to drive most value overall.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Independently builds consensus and alignment across groups both inside and outside of Media to gain commitment from partners for complex, interdependent martech initiatives. Partners with Data Science, IT, Media, Marketing, and External teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure platform strategy ladders to broader business goals. Communicates technology and strategic impacts to relevant groups across the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Project & Program Ownership: Primary owner of and accountable for high-complexity martech/adtech projects and integrations. Plans, develops, and implements strategic initiatives that are multi-channel, cross-functional, and ladder to the company's growth strategy.
  • Mentorship & Continuous Improvement: Mentors and assists more junior staff on martech/adtech best practices. Drives and/or oversees complex technical and strategic analyses with impact on business decisions. Gets work done through others both internally and externally.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Significant experience in martech/adtech strategy, platform management, or related roles.
  • Deep knowledge of the martech/adtech landscape — DSPs, CDPs, identity solutions, measurement platforms — and the competitive dynamics shaping it.
  • Proven ability to evaluate, select, and manage complex vendor/platform relationships, holding partners accountable for deliverables.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate platform capabilities into business impact.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build consensus across technical and non-technical groups, and mentor junior team members.

  • Ability to succinctly present findings and recommendations and lead discussions with leadership
  • Understands the business impact and economics; exhibits strong understanding of all downstream impacts
  • Expert knowledge of relevant marketing tools and data sources
  • Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 10 years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience to include a proven track record of deploying successful media campaigns
