About the Mass FinTech Hub

The Mass FinTech Hub is a collaborative initiative uniting leaders across technology, financial services, academia, and government to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

We:

  • Empower students and entrepreneurs to launch and scale transformational FinTech ventures.
  • Partner with corporations and investors to advance innovation practices and collaborations.
  • Leverage the power of community to strengthen Massachusetts’ position as a global FinTech leader.

Position Summary

The Project/Program Manager will lead the design, execution, and delivery of high-impact programs that advance the mission of the Mass FinTech Hub—to position Massachusetts as the global leader in FinTech innovation.

This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will manage multiple initiatives end-to-end and collaborate across corporate, academic, investor (angel and venture), startup, and public-sector partners. In addition to program management, you’ll contribute to day-to-day operational excellence, develop scalable playbooks, and represent the organization at key industry events and stakeholder engagements.

This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to senior leaders across the FinTech ecosystem. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, creativity, and relationship-building skills with a deep passion for innovation and ecosystem development.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process and experience gaps across programs and recommend scalable improvements.

  • Advance DEI efforts across all programs, ensuring equitable access and representation within the FinTech ecosystem.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably within innovation, entrepreneurship, or ecosystem-building environments.
  • Proven ability to design, operationalize, and scale programs using structured frameworks and playbooks.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to balance multiple priorities.
  • Analytical, data-informed mindset with experience tracking program success via NPS, CSAT, CES, and related metrics.
  • Passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive ecosystem development.
  • Confident public speaker, comfortable representing the organization at industry events and discussions.
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting systems, budgeting, and reporting principles.

Location & Work Expectations

This hybrid position is based in Boston, with in-office presence required several days per week depending on organizational needs. Some evening events and public speaking engagements are expected.
