The Opportunity

The Partner Integration Tech (PIT) team, within Sales & Distribution Technology, is seeking a Product Manager withDistribution, Integration Tech and/or Business Analyst experience. The Product Manager will work to establish new relationships and build onexisting ones.They willwork closely with distribution business partners andstakeholdersto understand gaps and identifywhere the Partner Integration Tech team can helpsolve problems. They will help manage new incoming demand, existing backlog and prioritization of portfolio across modernization and cloud migration efforts. In collaboration with delivery lead, scrum lead, developers, QA, and our stakeholders, they willreinforce the PIT operating model/playbook and help refine over time. Most importantly, they will act as analysts to gather business requirements, translate business requirements into technical requirements (Jira stories), scope and estimate work efforts, and ensure smooth and timely communication across deliverable participants. To meet the needs of this important role, the individual will need to be a strong critical and analytical thinker,comfortable navigating ambiguity, strong problem solver, effective at communicating,willing to learn new things, havehigh levelof curiosity and willingness to ask questions at all levels.

You will be involved with short, mid, and long term strategic and non-strategic projects, and BAU efforts. You will get exposure to various projects and diverse subject matteracross the distribution domain, making this a unique entry point for those looking to develop deeper understanding of sales & distribution technology,business andstakeholders.

The Team

The Partner Integration Technologies team, within Sales & Distribution Technology, supports MassMutual’s distribution growth by modernizing and simplifying the distribution integration application ecosystem. We’re streamlining our development and delivery model by embracing Agile and DevOps, and quickly adapting to rapidly changing conditions around us. As a member of our team,you willwork alongside other Developers, Project Managers, Scrum Experts, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Leads,Stakeholders and many other roles to implement new cloud solutions and improve upon existing.

Job Responsibilities and Impacts

  • Partners with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs, gaps, and requirements

  • Elicit, translate and simplify requirements, decompose high-level business and user requirements into stories

  • Works closely with distribution stakeholdersto understand priorities, timing and roadmaps

  • Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders, and the dev/delivery teams

  • Guide technical dev/delivery teams when needed

  • Stays up to date on distribution industry developments, trends, and best practices

  • Maintains clear understanding of business objectives and PIT alignment to desired outcomes

  • Learns new skills as needed, to support team’s strategic objectives

  • Operates independently and collaboratively on multiple project tasks (across waterfall, agile and hybrid delivery)

  • Participates in all phases of discovery, requirements gathering, design, project planning, execution,testing/QA, maintenance, and continuous support

  • Produces application artifacts and documentation per team needs and for SDLC, Agile, DevOps governance and audit requirements 

  • Meet today’s needs with the potential to scale or adapt to the needs of the future, with new emerging technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or an analytical field such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science

  • 8+ years business and data analyst experience designing, implementing and supporting software development from variety of production systems and data platforms

  • 5+ years insurance or financial services industry experience in a technology delivery focused or related role

  • 3+ years database and SQL experience

  • 3+ years ETL and Datawarehouse concepts and processes experience

  • Must be able to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with 3rd party distribution integration tech, industry feeds, DTCC and/or NSCC, industry aggregators and counterparty services

    • Experience with industry standard file layout specifically exposure to ACCORD and DTCC standard feeds, and XML, CSV, TXT, JSON, XLS file types

    • Experience in producer/distributor compensation (COM), sales recognition programs, policy level networking (FAR, POV,NB)

    • Cloud migration and/or modernization experience

    • Experience working in a DevOps environment/model

    • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively

    • Familiarity withETL tool/s and cloud technologies

    • Familiarity with web services / microservices / APIs

    • Outcome oriented with the ability to drill down from the big picture to process details

    • Ability to communicate objectives, plans, status and results clearly

    • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Lucid Chart, Slack, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

    • Significant experience with various AGILE methodologies, and exposure to DevOps

    • A passion for continuous learning and a desire to share business and technical knowledge

    • Proven ability to work well with others and foster team environment built on transparency, shared learning and development

    Salary Range: $118,900.00-$156,000.00 Apply
