The Opportunity

MMFA Agency Brokerage is looking to hire a Business Program Manager to coordinate, plan, develop and implement moderate to complex business projects as well as readiness initiatives and recommend appropriate strategies, actions, and/or alternatives for business decisions relative to the technology projects under area of responsibility. You will have an excellent understanding of MMFA Agency Brokerage as well as the career agency system and the ability to solve complex problems, considering the business/operations limitations to both channels as part of broader organization. You’ll also consider the business implications of various companywide projects and advocate on behalf of MMFA Agency Brokerage and National Sales to ensure customers’ needs are considered and addressed in all development of strategic development and implementation.

We empower our advisors to grow balanced practices by collaborating with credentialed and experienced experts that address broad financial solutions.

MMFA Agency Brokerage supports MMFA Brokerage Directors and their brokers. Make more possible with MMFA Agency Brokerage by joining this team that is responsible for over $100 million in life insurance sales, $10 million in disability income sales and $300 million in annuity sales.

The Impact

As a Business Program Manager your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Lead the timely delivery of platform enhancements and/or complex initiatives including developing/ refining integrated plans.
  • Represent and lead projects for MMFA Brokerage ensuring timely, cost effective and high-quality execution of project including budget, timelines, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives.
  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts and other resources (business, technical, compliance, communications, vendor, etc.) to define and execute plans for each delivery.
  • Acquiring or solidifying knowledge of the business/business process impacted by any initiative to help drive approach.
  • Collaborate across multiple organizations to remove hurdles and drive results.
  • Defining and managing detailed project plans.
  • Lead projects through issue resolution as quickly as possible, avoiding impact to schedule.
  • Implement strategies that deliver project(s) on time and within budget.
  • Ensuring tools/documentation are consistent and consistently leveraged across all projects.
  • Provide a continuously updated and balanced appraisal of the project status, including risk, cost, and value to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all project team members understand project goals and objectives, current project plan and schedule, critical path activities and activities that may become critical path activities.
  • Responsible for alignment of functional plans with approved project plans and ensuring high quality execution.
  • Ensure alignment between project strategy and tactical execution.
  • Proactively identify issues while resolving conflicts and communicating project-related issues to leadership.
  • Develop and partner with team on an overall communication strategy, as well as the field strategy and broad internal/external communications.
  • Navigate ambiguity to deliver results.
  • Be self-supportive in collaborating with peers to effectively deliver a robust solution for the business.
  • Drive lessons learned and knowledge retention for future use.
  • Demonstrate proven capability to be organized yet flexible/adaptable.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years in business consulting or project management experience including managing and driving the execution of complex, cross functional and strategic projects
  • 5+ years' experience working with career agency or brokerage business
  • 1+ year of experience working with iPipeline, SmartOffice, SureLC, Winflex, Ensight and similar technology partners.
  • 3+ years of experience developing knowledge of regulatory and compliance rules that impact our business and products
  • Bachelor’s degree

Ideal Qualifications

  • MMFA Agency Brokerage distribution experience
  • 3+ year working with internal technology including DSP, Life, DI, and Annuity policy administration systems, FAOE, EZApp, FieldNet, ServiceNet, Salesforce, SIERA or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and support overall project goals and resolve and remove obstacles to the project’s completion
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and obtain buy-in at all levels
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Strong innovation and independent problem-solving skills
