The Opportunity
As a Field Compensation Specialist, you will support both compensation processing as well as handle inquiries and research items from our advisors.
Team members frequently work closely with others on our team, our vendors, and a number of departments throughout MMLIS and across MMFA. The Team
The MMLIS Compensation team is a hybrid group made up of operational staff, handling the day to day commission processing, as well as a customer service group responding to incoming emails from both the field as well as internal business partners. Our mission is to ensure timely and accurate payout of compensation to our advisors. The uniqueness of the MMLIS Compensation team is that most initiatives across the B/D impact compensation which creates lots of projects and opportunities for change management. It also requires our team to be agile and resilient and to maintain a high business acumen within the B/D. We are looking for someone to join our team who can help support both types of work, operational and service oriented, with a desire and ability to take part in new project initiatives.
The Impact:
Review, format, process and research comp as it comes in on a daily basis to ensure proper processing
Research and process items that are received in the email inbox
Work collaboratively with team members and other internal and external business partners
Review and maintain policies and procedures
Participate in any special projects that may impact both the team and/or the field
Actively engaged in Huddles and Problem Solving
The Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of customer service experience
1+ year Microsoft Office experience
Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA
The Ideal Qualifications:
Flexible, can-do attitude, self-motivated, self-sufficient and ability to work effectively with peers and business partners
Solid, Proven Proficiency in Excel- experience with Pivot tables and VLOOKUP required
1+ years business/industry experience
Understanding of BD/RIA operational platforms and workflows
Ability to identify opportunities and problem solve effectively
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Action-oriented and ability to assume ownership of requests / problems and deliver effective resolution to customers.

Salary Range:
$50,400.00-$63,500.00At MassMutual, we focus on ensuring fair equitable pay, by providing competitive salaries, along with incentive and bonus opportunities for all employees.
