The Opportunity

As a Business Transition Consultant, you will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment focused on transitioning experienced advisors from their prior firms to MassMutual. In this role, you are responsible for providing dedicated onboarding and transition support to firm leadership and qualifying advisors. This support includes articulating MML Investors Services (MMLIS) offerings, performing portability analysis of advisors’ practices, and providing firms and recruits with a roadmap to successfully transition.

The Team

MMLIS Advisor Loans & Transitions is a newly formed team within the Wealth Management Business Development and Financial Planning organization of MassMutual. The team consists of Business Transition Consultants, Deal Analysts, and Wealth Management Transition Support. This is a dynamic and innovative team with significant experience in the Wealth Management space. In addition to your immediate team, you will work closely with many organizations across MassMutual, including Recruiting, Operations, and our product areas.

The Impact:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the firm and qualifying recruit throughout various stages of the onboarding and transition process to offer a best-in-class experience.

  • Serve as subject matter expert and liaison on MMLIS programs, policies, and procedures, to ensure transitioning advisors are prepared to hit the ground running on the MassMutual platform from Day 1.

  • Serve as an accountability manager with all parties involved in a transition to ensure client accounts are moved to MMLIS accurately and timely.

  • Actively listen and ask questions with the needs of both the transitioning advisor and MassMutual in mind, to properly assess transition risks to both parties.

  • Anticipate transition challenges and respond proactively to prevent small issues from growing into larger ones.

  • Inform and influence others clearly, timely and appropriately, by moderating the appropriate message and medium for the situation and audience.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience in the financial services industry supporting advisor transitions or broker-dealer new business operations

  • Bachelor's degree or a HS diploma with 10+ years of experience in financial services industry

  • Due to the nature of the position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprinted background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA

  • Problem solver with strong business acumen and interpersonal skills

Salary Range:

$124,800.00-$163,800.00
