The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Variable Product SEC Filing Team and become an integral member of MassMutual’s Legal Department. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing business by providing support for MassMutual’s variable annuity and variable life products. This individual will lead the disclosure delivery process, maintain product and underlying fund data files which fulfill the policy owners preference for print or email distribution. This individual will also manage components of the product prospectus while working with the print vendor.

The Team

The Variable Product SEC Filing Team is a critical part of the Insurance Product & Operations Law organization. We are experienced specialists who enjoy collaborating and partnering with other business areas.

The Impact:

  • Primary Function is to lead the disclosure delivery process, maintain product and underlying fund data files, generate requirements as necessary to add or change product data, to manage any future enhancements to the disclosure delivery process, and perform testing and sign-off of upgrades.

  • Serve as the primary liaison to the print and distribution vendor, leveraging expertise in the business’ data files to ensure accurate and efficient delivery.

  • Manage and implement enhancements to the disclosure delivery process, including updates to associated data files.

  • Assist attorneys with ad hoc data requests by extracting and interpreting information from data files to support legal and business needs.

  • Provide cross-functional support to the team by coordinating the collection of regulatory documents from mutual fund partners, managing document uploads for web publication, and assisting with a range of operational tasks to maintain efficient workflows.

  • Update desktop procedures as needed and perform document retention processes for accurate and complete record-keeping following 38a-1 guidelines

The Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in providing support to SEC EDGAR Filings, variable products or mutual funds.

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Professional experience in a corporate, financial services, or regulatory environment.

  • Experience with print, mailings, and working with print vendors.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to navigate and leverage resources across the enterprise and with our vendors with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Excellent problem resolution, including the ability to collaborate with peers and business partners.

Salary Range:

$90,500.00-$118,700.00
